As the anchor tenant on the stadium , we are one of the main stakeholders and active stirling should be working with us to get this sorted. It surely can't be beyond the art of the possible. Its in all parties interests to make the stadium as good as it can be and maximise attendance and income. I've got some wd40 they can borrow
Quentin Taranbino
Amazing start from the team this year. To carry it over from last season to the league cup group and then to the league games is some feat I suspect our run comes to an end as we negotiate three tricky fixtures coming up. East Kilbride - On one hand I want to keep the good run going but on the other I'm thinking just to throw out the young players. I expect it will be a mix of youngsters and the likes of Cooper, Banner, Spence etc. EK thumped someone again today. Will be hard game even with our first team playing. Aberdeen - We are expected to lose and we probably will but I hope the players go out and put up a fight and make Aberdeen work for it. A sell out crowd and hopefully a great game. Falkirk - Away to the bairns is as tough as it will be in this league. Would happily take a point but on the run we are on and with this team I genuinely believe we are capable of grinding out a result. As an ultimate pessimist, I can also easily see us losing all three games
WC Boggs
Too chuffed with that result to worry about the next one. I need time to bask in my current state of ecstasy.

On this, I didn’t expect to see Stirling Albion odds of 10/1 at home against East Kilbride - even if you were playing a heavily changed lineup in the Challenge Cup. I’m assuming it’s been suggested that you will be fielding essentially a youth team tonight?

The computer system for the turnstiles needing an upgrade is a massive understatement. I believe the original system was MS DOS and that is what is finally being replaced. So all that and a supporters bar back as soon as Lewandowski's pal stepped down. Whatever? it's been a long time coming and cause for real celebration. Also great news is the appointment of Christine Curtis as general manager. Didn't see that coming, but delighted to hear it.

Have to say that I was delighted to read about the stadium upgrades and not only will it help the club generate more money, it also shows us to be a little bit more professional. To have the option of opening the terrace(s) obviously helps generate more income from the likes of Friday night, but also things like a broken tannoy system just doesn’t paint the club in a good light and it’s frustrating listening to it week in week out and updating the turnstiles makes match-days go a little bit slicker for those behind the scenes and probably the paying punter with their QR code. The supporters bar is massive, I can’t remember the sums of money the Supporters Club handed over to the club via the bar, but not only was it a good income stream, it was also a hive of activity for home games, a place to socialise with like minded people and chat. It’s been massively missed from the matchday experience imho. We all know that Forthbank is a tidy lower league stadium with a cracking pitch, hopefully these changes not only give it the wee face lift that it needs, but also goes a long way to improve fan experience. Well done to all involved.

Not in a position to confirm it. but with Aberdeen to take on this Friday, Falkirk to take on next Tuesday and being a part time club, the Challenge cup might be where something's got to give somewhere. Rather that than the players legs.
BinosCammy
I heard from a friend of mine that he was told that alot of youth players and bench players will be starting tonight, people have been lumping cash on EK hence why we are such odds tonight.
WattersIsGod
That's a decent update on the stadium. All things thwt should improve the match day experience. Particularly the tannoy which has been a running joke for years. You could barely hear it when we were only getting a few hundred through the door. Nowadays it's totally inaudible.. Could be interesting tonight. Be good to see some of the youngsters get a chance.

Quentin Taranbino
Some big big money been thrown on East Kilbride tonight to win. Whilst I would agree they probably are the favourites against our reserves/youths - the odds are mental. Very tempted to stick some money on us to win
WC Boggs
This isn't easy to watch and even worse to hear with that knackered tannoy. Our young lads were in way over their heads and poor Mark Weir an aunt Sally for 90 minutes. I've no issues over it, the manager got his priorities right. I've posted this because though painful to watch, the youngsters flung in at the deep end have done a service for the first team and getting ignored is no way to reward them for it. Thanks young lads.
ekok
Could not agree more. The almost complete radio silence, before, during and after this game was a slap in the face to your young lads who were representing your Club. Totally understand the decision, but everyone involved, especially Mark was hung out to dry. It was as if the game didn't happen. Yes they were given the run around but they played with great spirit, defended as if their lives were on the line. Never resorted to kicking players who are several levels above their current ability and caused a few scares with their enthusiastic and never say die approach. Played right to the final whistle, chased down every ball , gave their all and took great credit for their efforts. Shoe on the other foot, that's what I would have expected my Club to report.
WattersIsGod
It was a hard 90 minute watch but as I said on the cup thread an even harder 90 minutes to play. There was certainly no shortage of effort. Im not sure I can bring myself to watch the highlights though.......
