Check out Christopher Bouzy (@cbouzy) as well mate. He reckons FL's in play, and he's often right.

That would take a huge reversal of recent trends. Florida's Democrats have been a mess and the GOP have done a lot of expensive and clever work to woo the Hispanic vote.

Eh, it doesn’t have to be that clever. Just say SOCIALISM and point out the Democrats don’t necessarily hate black people to the Cubans.

If Harris can win, I hope it's not a narrow victory. That would just give girner Trump another "we wuz robbed" opportunity. She has to knock him into the middle of next week with a big majority in the electoral college.

Biden winning by 306 to 232 wasn't enough to tell the MAGA nutters to shut the F up. It needs to be bigger.

It's entirely plausible that Harris wins 270-268, by holding everything Biden won except Georgia, Arizona and Nevada.

It could all come down the the Nebraska 2nd district - Trump could win that and tie it 269-269. Assuming no faithless electors, in that case the House of Representatives picks the President, with each state delegation getting one vote. In that situation Trump surely wins. The VP is picked by the Senate, so you could have Trump-Walz. Wild.

Florida is also home to plenty reactionary South Americans, especially Venezuelans and Colombians. Republican party is their natural home.

The Miami Colombians are pretty chill. Argentinians are racist AF and every Cuban that can pass for ‘white’ will tell you they can trace their lineage directly back to Phillip II. Boy must have been a more prolific shagger than Warren Beatty.

Preferable to Shapiro anyway.

I'm not so sure, Pennsylvania has 19 electoral college votes against Minnesotas 10.

And Shapiro is a moderate.

Plus Walz has that 2020 Floyd Minneapolis riots still hanging on him which Trump will play on why Walz took 3 days before sending in the National Guard.

Walz and Vance are both veterans, something the American place high value on (I won’t comment on the rights and wrongs of this).

I hope in any debate Walz lists the amount of times Trump has disrespected veterans, calling them ‘losers’ etc.  I don’t see Vance having a credible response.

It take it by moderate, you mean more like a Republican ?

Walz ticks two key boxes. He's not as openly pro genocide as others in the Democratic Party and therefore can potentially claw back some votes lost over Gaza. He's also a former blue collar worker and relatively pro union,  who could theoretically speak to the fabled rust belt, dispossessed 'white working class' in key swing states.

Both these groups are vital if Harris is to take the White House. Shapiro speaks to neither.

One of the things that’s impressed, and surprised, me since Biden stood down and endorsed Harris is the unity within the Democratic camp.  No one going in the huff or looking to cause division, it’s like they realise that defeating Trump err… trumps everything else.

I hope Bernie Sanders offers his endorsement soon.  I know how the Republicans would frame that but I think there could be more positives than negatives in electoral terms.

You've failed to address a pivotal moment in American civil history when Walz failed to act for three days on the civil disobedience, riots arson and looting, the cost to Minneapolis alone was $350 Million dollars.

Watch Trump and Vance exploit the George Floyd riots which fired up Global protesting'.

On that massive point Walz is a weakness.

I'm no Trump supporter but Harris has provided him and Vance with a sitting target.

Walz held his hands up at the time and admitted both the city and state responses were inadequate - and by ‘inadequate’ he meant ‘not quelled quickly enough’ which would be taking the center to center-right position. There’s also the issue of who was President at the time, so any attempts at making political capital from it may take more skill than the Trump campaign has at hand.

According to the President at the time, its was down to him (the President) to save the day by sending in the National Guard.
