Win for the Hibs keeps it interesting til the end of the season Went along to this too. Great game. Burnt to a crisp now though I wasn't sure at the time, and I've not been able to find anything out since, but was the Bo'ness Athletic sub keeper actually a goalkeeper? Certainly wasn't in a goalkeeper kit whilst he was warming up. Noticed Bo'ness's bench was surprisingly thin on numbers too - presumably due to injuries?

Don’t know how Bo’ness can only muster 4 on the bench with an U20’s side and probably best part of 15 signings over the course of the season.

Yeah I found it surprising myself Hope it wasn't cause the missing players were watching another certain match....... (surely not)

(surely not) The bench looked full last night as they cruised to a 4-0 win and confirmed Ormiston's relegation last night. While the spectating facilities are basic its a nice place to watch football on a night like last night and i still had change of £10 after paying in, having a pie and coffee after the drive from Perth and a chocolate bar at half time. Hopefully the hosts find the third division more rewarding on the pitch next season.
ARFC Exile
Edinburgh South move into 3rd place with a win over Coldstream tonight. Last 30 minutes South really tired with their recent busy Schedule catching up with them, but they managed to hold on to move into the final promotion spot. Match Armadale's result on Saturday and they are up. Edited May 14 by ARFC Exile

They scored in the fourth minute and basically nothing of note happened thereafter. It was a decent first half but there were very few decent chances either way, and the second half was very flat as both teams tired and Edinburgh managed the game out safely to its conclusion. The outcome never felt in doubt to me, there were no near misses, no drama.
HibeeJibee
Bo'ness Athletic have won Second Division, Third Division, Alex Jack Cup, Cup-Winners' Shield and League Cup over last year. (Not the King Cup interestingly). Many will tip further honours in 12-months.
Burnieman
Quite remarkable that Armadale Thistle missed out after the amount of money they have been chucking around.

I'm sure you've came out with this before must be stuck in your head, we don't have a sugar daddy, tight budgets, all money spent is hard earned via fans, sponsors & fund raising. Disappointing season, especially as having been in the top 3 all season, still a young squad and new inexperienced management team will only get better, on the plus side we have a season without the mighty Bo'ness to chase for a change, and with the teams coming up a few more good local derbies to come, every cloud and all that. NB Well done to Bo'ness, Thornton & Ed South was a good season and well done to the Dale fans, in the top 5 out of 53 clubs in attendances yet again, they just keep throwing the money in the rascals how dare they.

I have never suggested that you have, but it's common knowledge that Armadale offer a lot of money to players, plenty clubs have been "outbid" by you when trying to sign a player. To no avail this season of course. Edited May 24 by Burnieman

Its a great set up facilities wise and should in time make the premier and possibly be contenders for promotion to the Lowland league.
Dev
Will Ormiston be reprieved to make up the numbers again to 16 for next season? Or will Stoneyburn come up instead? Anyone know yet or will it be decided at the AGM? Edited May 25 by Dev .

I'm sure it's a hiccup, as they recover from the delay in joining EoS.

I agree, had my moments of disapproval of the folks in charge at Armadale, but you can't knock them for the last couple of seasons. They've put in a lot of work and turned the place around better than any of us could have imagined.

As to how they get to 16 the following season I am not sure yet.
