St Mirren V Dundee

Recommended Posts

Thought we played well the first 25 minutes, McMenamin in particular. Beyond that, patchy at best. Missed O'Hara for when we needed to dig in. Next time he's out I reckon Gogic will start in midfielder rather than CBM.

Both our goals perhaps an indication of why keeping Joe wasn't a priority....

Anyway thank f**k this thread is over. An amazing contrast with the Motherwell thread of last week. As we were involved in both it shows what a shower this weegie vermin is.
Hearts next, despite our history it cannot be worse than this.

You disgraced yourselves with your Rangers songs today

As I said previously, you got on with the Motherwell fans because they are Rangers wannabes as well

Hearts next? Jeez, that’s another bunch you’ll get on fine with 🤮

Looking forward to seeing screenshots of the one cleared by Dundee, from the replays I saw it absolutely looked over the line.

This is another problem with the use of VAR in Scotland.

We have neither goal line technology nor goal-line cameras (other than at live Sky games). So other than for the most obvious cases, VAR can’t intervene to give (or rule out) marginal “goals”.

Obviously it benefitted us today (sort of), but it’s still ridiculous.

Always got to try and take the positives from a match.  First away match in the league this season, with a new team / manager against a very well managed team.  Beaten 2-1 and missed a penalty.  Not great but hardly a disaster either.

Time will tell but hopefully Docherty will learn from that and hopefully we will bring in a couple of new signings before the window closes.

And not even obvious ones as we’ve seen today.

Replay from behind the goal was hard to tell, then then showed an angle from the West Stand.

Can only assume VAR didn’t have access to it.

Have to be honest, think you're at it if you think today's one was obvious. It might well have been in but it was tight as f**k to say the whole ball was over. Very, very close one way or the other IMO.

Have you seen the angle from the West Stand?

On the initial views was hard to tell, so disappointed but not surprised it wasn’t given.

A few minutes later they showed that angle and it was clear as day.

I’ve not seen it, but it sounds like a situation where the referee’s decision (whichever way it fell) wasn’t going to be overturned.
