Can't quite believe it's taken this long but a step in the right direction and the package looks pretty good. Footage from lower down the leagues starts to drift into Pixellot territory which we all know is brutal, but it's better than nothing! Remains to be seen if Tuesday night will be the regular release date. I suppose it will take them time to gather each club's footage and add the commentary, but it would be great if this was out on a Sunday or Monday. On a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning folk are looking forward to the next weekend's fixtures rather than looking back at the last game. The SPFL did release a combined highlights package last season, but it didn't have the voice over/commentary and additional info. Was basically just the goals. This is a decent improvement. It was almost always the middle of the week it was posted, sometimes as late as Thursday from memory. We are now able to watch highlights of women's football at 7pm on BBC Scotland. This needs to happen to allow increased advertising all round. Ray Patterson Posted September 27, 2023 Share Posted September 27, 2023 SPFL have stuck their round-up on the YouTube It's a pretty decent attempt at a highlights show all things considered. They have to rely on the clubs to provide them with footage more often than not - and given they have like 10 people that work for them in total, it's better than nothing.
