Boo Khaki
Since it's officially Week 1 AFC East Buffalo, Miami, NYJ, NE AFC North Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cleveland AFC South Jacksonville, Tennessee, Indianapolis, Houston AFC West Kansas City, Los Angeles, Denver, Las Vegas Wildcard teams = LAC, Miami, Pittsburgh NFC East Philadelphia, Dallas, NYG, Washington NFC North Detroit, Minnesota, Chicago, Green Bay NFC South New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Carolina NFC West San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Arizona Wildcard teams = Dallas, NYG, Minnesota I'd like to see Buffalo get over the hump and win an AFC Championship, but I reckon they'll screw it up again, Cinci to win it. Philly to host the Lions in the comparatively poor NFC, with the winner being scudded in the SB As far as the Chargers are concerned, anything short of 11-12 wins, pushing KC all the way to the last few weeks for the West Division, and at least one playoff victory should see Staley and Telesco fired, but the Chargers tend to persist with HC's far longer than they should and Telesco appears to be unfireable despite the franchise being perpetually mediocre across his entire 10 year tenure, so I think it's likely they underperform yet again, win 9/10 in the regular season, sneak a WC and bomb in the playoffs, and Staley gets a 4th year to 'bed in' a fundamentally garbage D scheme. For the pick investment and contracts they've been dishing out, the Chargers should be a genuine SB contender in "win now" mode, yet they still have obvious holes in the 2nd and 3rd level of the D, precious little meaningful depth, they haven't gone 'all out', and as one Exec put it they are massively leveraged for a team that is probably only 5th or 6th best in their Conference on talent. It's a weird mix of not having tanked enough to go full rebuild for years, and not having gone hard enough to compete with KC, Buffalo, and Cinci. They've practically wasted the bulk of the rookie contract of the biggest producing 3 year QB in league history, but they managed to go 15 years with total QB stability, the first half of which they had HoF production at RB and TE for, and still won bugger all, so that's nothing new.
