The squad needs players with prem experience, which it is currently lacking. Just you stick to trying to sort out your own experienced premier players that are currently under performing instead of wittering messi pish...

Not saying it can't be done just not as easy as you are making out. I never said it would be easy, but it`s what is needed. It`s about now players find themselves out the picture at their clubs and get itchy feet to be playing... hopefully we can take advantage of that and get the ones who won`t/shouldn`t play out the door to free up wages and places in the squad. A couple of good loans could even be the answer. The simple fact is the squad needs trimmed and improved... and quickly!

Its not just about freeing up wages, teams will rarely let player go for nothing to a rival during the season so you will have to pay a premium and if the budget has already been spent as you say it makes it doubly difficult to raise funds as clubs will only be after the better players in your squad who you would want to keep hold of. I agree some loans would help that way too.
Shannon
There will be clubs who have big squads and even in same league won't see us as direct rivals and already defeated us like Pollok, Beith and Darvel who if they have unhappy squad players would perhaps rather loan to Meadow than likes of Clydebank or another team higher up the table. Will be an interesting few weeks to see what happens. Big game for us on Saturday and we done well last weekend so hopefully same again away from home.
jimbaxters
Is there an option to loan out a player with a caveat that they don't play against their parent club? Edited September 22, 2023 by jimbaxters

The caveat to that is trying to persuade unhappy players to leave a club at the top of the table and go out on loan to the club sitting at the bottom! I can assure it will not be easy, with everything that has been mentioned, for the new management team to add quality to the squad at this time, so many varying factors to contend with.

My experience of seeing players being loaned out is usually to teams down the leagues and it's seldom to teams in the same league as us , usually it's promising young boys for the future to get them playing again and maybe those who aren't quite ready for the demands of the premier league yet - hence they're loaned out down the leagues to give them game time and to beef them up a bit .
Hawf time pie
There`s leagues above us and plenty big spending teams above us with big squads they will struggle to keep happy. Loans usually bar a player playing for their parent clubs,
