Well thats debatable. This is new territory. Its not how they sold tickets for France 98 and we never had a big sale of Euro 2020 as our tickets never went on sale pre covid.

I just dont see what's so unreasonable about the higher points getting earlier choices of tickets. Like I said, I've no skin in the game here. I'm on 8 so not getting them either way.

With thirteen points I’m obviously on the lower end, but I guess a points based system would mean I was guaranteed not to be stuck with the ridiculously priced tickets.

Am I more loyal than someone on any number of points below me though? Absolutely not - any number of reasons as to why I’m currently higher than numerous people.

IMO, the benefit is the ticket itself and knowing in advance that you are guaranteed so it is far easier/cheaper to plan etc etc.

UEFA's ridiculous pricing strategy is the cause of this disgruntlement. If the top priced seats for the Germany game were €100 there wouldn't be any "high pointers" moaning at the sale being open to those on 12 points from the off.

completely agree with this.  I am keen to log on quickly as i simply wont go if I have to pay 400euro for a ticket

You can’t shift the goalposts and guarantee high pointers priority at this stage. The membership would’ve been missold if this was the case.

Fair enough if this was clearly communicated when memberships were sold at the start of the campaign but you can’t just shoehorn it in now.

Yeah, completely.

Saying all that, given the level of moaning - I wouldn’t be surprised if it was now changed.

That ATAC statement.

I mean if you are upset at the shoddy performance so far, fine.
Immediately onto their "Most Loyal" type elite shite.

No wonder I see folk making constant fun of the "TA".

ATAC are on the case after being nowhere to be seen when we started getting charged to pick up tickets, the police battering folk in Spain, being kept in at Tbilisi to get pelted with bottles and so on.

Hamish Husband is the exact person I picture when folk are talking about these 30 point feathered goons earlier in the thread. The sort of guy who could barely tell you who half our team play for and yet paint themselves as the face of our national team.

Again, the very raison d'etre of the loyalty points is to guarantee high pointers priority at tickets. Nothing at all was said about whether that was priority at a 'level' of ticket because that simply hasnt existed in a ticket sale since the SSC was the STC. Nobody's been 'missold' anything.

Attending a fan embassy workshop in Hamburg must be as close to the definition of tragic as you can possibly get.

Though, he probably thinks it makes him the most loyal of the very loyal people.

I agree with much of this - and I'm someone on twenty odd points.

There are a lot of egos in the tartan army who can tell you EXACTLY how many away matches they have attended like it's going to impress anyone.

I will add that Hamish however is a decent lad and I don't recall him ever being a boaster.

Too many people who run these fan groups have overinflated opinions of their importance.
At the end of the day it's just a bunch of football supporters.
