St Johnstone v Celtic, High Noon Shootout 03/12/23

Recommended Posts

The Turner-Cooke sub was a mistake in more ways than one. We lost a bit when he came on and he has to score that chance at 2-1. Proverbial game of two halves, thought Celtic were extremely ordinary first half.

Meh, was always a game saints were unlikely to get something from, but feels a bit of a missed opportunity given how poor Celtic seem.

Thought Levein was far to slow to make changes, although probably had little to no option to change things defensively.

FWIW, doesn't seem on the pitch that Celtic have lost their edge. To me, those we fuds suck all the oxygen from their fans. Only trumped by the cringy sight of grown ups in their 50/60's waving Palistinian flags... 😬

Not as cringey as a country being ethnically cleansed imo

Don't disagree with the sentiment of it all, but Israel aren't going to change their minds on the whole thing because Brenda from East Kilbride puts down her crutch and fag to wave a flag at a St Johnstone v Celtic game. 🫣

Just glad despite losing there isn't a debate about poor officiating or VAR for once. Never want to lose but at least it was decided by the football and not the officials.

From a neutral or Celtic point of view the Celtic goals were all well taken.

From a Saints point of view the McGregor one maybe could have been headed anywhere but there but Browns never going to know he was there as the ball came at him quick off Mitov so he's just tried to get something on it.

Not sure the reason for it but Saints either stopped or were unable to reproduce the positive things they did in the first half in possession on the counter. I think if we could have continued that then we would have had a much better chance of taking something than just holding on for 45 mins.

Big week again for Saints.

Not quite what you meant, but they always find something

To be fair it is 2 reasons to potentially disallow a goal. Can forgive the pull though as it's hard see who is impeding who but is it not quite clear cut now if an attacker handles the ball for a goal it's to be disallowed?

Regardless thoughts go out to those on here always itching for a diddy injustice at this difficult time.
