I'm getting nervous about us actually getting this JA deal over the line as time goes on.

Yeah thats what I am thinking.  I was told by good authority on Saturday it was a done deal and would be announced in a few days.

We are now at Tuesday and still nothing.

If no news tonight then there has obviously something happened from the weekend.

Still keep refreshing JA insta page to see if he has changed his image or not.

Still in a Clyde top so that is still good news i suppose.

JA is a no-brainer of a signing, obviously. But I'd hope by this point Clyde are at least performatively dangling a plan B to get him moving.

It's been a great summer. No bumps in the road, please. No getting to two days before the end of the window and he joins someone else.

Out of sheer curiosity, my mate and I decided to pop along to Airdrie vs East Kilbride last night.

EK produced literally the worst collective footballing performance I've ever seen. I spent most of the first half giggling. It was genuinely outrageous. I do not know what MK and Si Ferry were thinking. My mate is a Dunfermline fan and found it very difficult to get a read on what Airdrie are going to be like next season because EK just made it so easy for them. A truly bizarre game.

anyone got any good suggestions on where to park tonight?

Last time I was at Meadowbank I just parked at the shopping park just along the road. That was a wee while ago right enough, so unsure if it's still viable.

Connell pinging the bar from 5000 yards and then hitting the most pitiful penalty you'll ever see is very good stuff.

Pretty underwhelming thus far, struggling to create much against a disciplined Edinburgh back five. Houston and Robson look like great threats running from deep, but that hasn't happened too often. Not sure about McKay at centre back. Cuddihy and Scullion look in terrific shape even this early.

Hopefully the sun is the reason we didn't defend a single one of Edinburgh's punts forward adequately.

Some good, some bad so far.

Gutted to be missing the first 3 games due to being on holiday.

At least I'll be able to relax at the Montrose game knowing we are already through.

In all seriousness that's a good result this early on and by all accounts not playing anywhere near where we think this side could be.
