Gibraltar Vs Scotland 3rd June 2024, Euros warm up

Recommended Posts

Andy Robertson will equal George Young's record of captaining Scotland 48 times. Presumably, he'll take the record outright on Friday. Great achievement for him imo.

If Doak isn’t even fit enough for the bench against Gibraltar then you have to wonder why he was called up.

He’s on the bench?

ETA, according to UEFA anyway.

Bit of a contradiction on the BBC sport website then.......

We knew that last night there would be no Stuart Armstrong, Scott McTominay or John Souttar, with the trio still building up their fitness, but there's also no Ben Doak, who hasn't played since December.

No. Sky said that he, McTominay and Armstrong were training away from the group.

Calling up only 28 is turning out to be rather short-sighted.

Clarke also said he would get minutes in his press conference and UEFA has him listed.

f**k knows.

There’s no number 9 in the squad.  TL;DR I’m none the wiser, but it suggests four keepers and a bit of a sweat for Doak.

Doak is number 18 according to the UEFA website. Not that I think any of this is actually relevant to final squad numbers.

I’m a fully paid up member of the read-as-much-as-you-can-into-squad-numbers gang.  But you’re probably right.    I still think taking four keepers is a waste of a spot though.

Henley in defence according to Premier Sports.

Always exciting watching someone who isn't well known get their debut.

That graphic was terrible, names covered up by shirt images and players positions all squint!
