But I know that the Junior members still value there participation in the Junior Cup over a route to the Scottish Cup. But they can have both. There's no need for the Junior Cup to cling to a qualifying route.

Stag Nation
1 hour ago, FairWeatherFan said: The SJFA could forgo the Junior Cup as a qualifying route. Perhaps to transfer it to a Highland Cup Winners Shield that would benefit its membership since a North/Midlands team would more than likely win it. This would also allow the non-SFA members of the SJFA in the West to boost the Demolition Cup numbers. Since the WoSFL takes 10% off the gate of every game that adds to the league's coffers. The Scottish Cup place is in the gift of the SFA. The SJFA don’t have it by right, and can’t “transfer” it to anyone.

The fact remains that the SJFA have accepted that and are looking at ways to re-vitalise their cup. Anyone else doing the same? Other leagues and teams constantly trying to block their efforts doesn't do anyone any favours. The leagues in question (read EOS & SOS) already have to accommodate for the Scottish Cup & South Challenge Cup in their scheduling why should they have to accommodate for a 3rd external competition? These leagues also run more cups compared to the WOS. Edited June 14 by GNU_Linux

FFS, if you're arguing against the Junior Cup, try keeping it factually correct. -

I know the SOS currently having no teams the Junior Cup but it's demonstrating the issues that'd arise from any of their teams taking part & applies to the EOS who have teams taking part. I'm not arguing against the Junior Cup but rather pointing out the scheduling & practical issues at hand.

Surely not? Probably down to single figures in teams by now. The No Prize South Challenge Cup is another you've clearly forgotten about. a diminished cup competition and some minor leagues in the north of the country? It's so diminished, clubs are queueing up to get involved. And how snobbish is the rest of that? Hampden hosting 70k+ crowds those days are long gone for football in general. Top of the tree all the way to the roots. The fact remains that the SJFA have accepted that and are looking at ways to re-vitalise their cup. Anyone else doing the same? Stag Nation
Have they thought this through? Imagine the reaction if one of the guests actually wins the thing, and takes £20k out of the Junior game.

FairWeatherFan
6 minutes ago, santheman said: If they can get a compliant park then why not. According to Kennie it's only open to Pyramid clubs below Tier 5. With the WoS locking the backdoor. WoS amateurs don't have a way in anymore even if they wanted. If there's 122 SJFA members now and at least 6 notes of interest. Get ready to move on from two-legged semi finals, to the potential need for an entirely new round being required. I'm sure it'll be in the WoSFL's benefit to lose another weekend of fixtures.

You get that it affects us with fixture disruption aye? But i mean i actually think its quite a decent idea, if they had a wee bit of imagination they’d offer it up to English/Welsh non league clubs on an away draw only basis…
