Buzz Killington
Maybe bump a couple of percent on the stamp duty paid on second homes and use that to fund more social housing. Extra tax on holiday rental landlords (compulosry VAT registration for holiday homes, tourist tax, increased income tax rate on holiday homes) and use that to fund more social housing. No, no we'll make the people who need the social housing fund more social housing. Edited August 22 by Buzz Killington
Wee-Bey
The change that was promised was simply only the change that was necessary for everything to stay the same.

They are essentially David Cameron's 2011 Tories. He'll be back just before the Holyrood elections to spout the same drivel.

BFTD
What on Earth's in the tub? Papers are claiming it's a salad, but it looks more like someone's disastrous attempt at making homemade Haribo.

Salt n Vinegar
Something really needs to be done about energy costs. The "one size fits all" attitude to support for the vulnerable is nonsensical. They're talking about it on LBC at the moment. I asked Alexa what the outdoor temperature is in Edinburgh. It's 12 degrees. I asked what the outdoor temperature is in London. It's 19 degrees. FFS.
