This video is ancient and pre-dates any Starmer announcement.  There is a good chance that in another couple of years this policy will have been promised and reversed at least half a dozen times.

It would be a shame if that interview got out there. 🙂 This is getting a bit like "What have the Romans ever done for us?". In the the list of commitments that Kier Starmer made when he stood for party leader which are still on his to-do list?

It must be tough being a Labour supporter, and believing in some of these policies, to then see them torn away from you.

You have my absolute sympathy.

As this response below sets out, Westminster when consulted could have easily removed any ambiguity. If they had and no action was taken by the SG then Murray could apply his "SG playing politics on such an issue" ticket with reasonable justification. In the absence of any Westminster assurance and given Murray clearly thinks that is not an issue he is the one clearly happy to play politics - and play to the gallery once more rather than offering anything positive or of substance. Murray to a tee.

Fergus Ewing, the local Tory MSP, has also shockingly come out in favour of Airbnb landlords, despite the avaliability of long term rental properties being zero in many parts of the Highlands.

Airbnb owners who haven't got a license by Oct 1st should face the guillotine. Those who have a license should also face the guillotine.

To be fair to him, Fergus is well positioned to lead the right of centre party in an independent Scotland.
