An Absolute Imposter Posted July 20 Share Posted July 20 (edited) Renfrew started the game well, and for 10 minutes pressed Threave's passing out from the back which resulted in at least 2 decent chances. One header from 6yards should have been taken. Threave got more into the game and Renfrews early promise faded away. The 2 first half goals were well taken, but defensively poor goals to concede. Second half was disastrous for Renfrew 2 badly defended goals from a defensive point. Although again well dispatched. Renfrew were not asking any questions defensively or in midfield of Threave. After their goal Renfrew as happens were on top and the substitutes at least managed to pose problems for Threave defensively. And had more than 1 good opportunity to get a 2nd. Mostly bad finishing and decision making stopped this from happening. Threave have had a decent preseason and have upgraded the squad. So hard to really judge Renfrew as Threave although in Div 3 are a side packed with talented players.
