Rosyth's demise leaves 15 clubs so with no 16th place there will be modestly less fear of going down. Vale of Leithen and Oakley hurtle into the division on the back of 2 relegations in a row, but will look to stop the rot here even if moving back up isn't attainable. Armadale will be trying to put last season's disappointment behind them while the promoted triumvirate of Bathgate, Harthill and West Calder can all hope to mix it with Peebles, Dalkeith, etc.

Good 4-0 win for the Shippy to kick off their campaign against Stirling Uni reserves who they lost to twice last season, suppose playing them this early more of a chance of a result like that.

Took the Armadale v Kennoway Star game in last night, really enjoyed the match. The attacking threat of Armadale was way above that of Kennoway and ultimately that was the difference between the 2 sides. 2 red cards for Kennoway in the last minute of the game, I don't know what actually happened, they were defending a corner and before the ball was played the ref blew his whistle. I noticed they were cut from the Kennoway highlights so obviously something has happened.

I know its a bit out of the way for most by i went to Coldstream v Oakley last Saturday and was very impressed with the welcome i got in the tea room/bar area .

The hosts came from behind to win 3-1 in an entertaining game

Its a very tight league this year and very unpredictable

Love a trip to Coldstream.

Another club who've done well getting the ground up to the required standards despite obstacles in the way.

Aye, Home Park is a picturesque ground.

I'll give you a laugh, Newky- City were playing there and I bought a pie at half time and was standing behind the goals at the club end. City subs were taking practice shots and being useless one of them shot wide and the ball hit my hand and knocked my pie flying, must to the hilarity of the other City fans!

I had to buy another one. Grrrr!

Great set-up with the dressing rooms and club behind the goals.. As you say - picturesque. But it isn't up to required standards surely. There's a path runs from one end to the other meaning that people can walk right through without paying. Or just stop half-roads to watch the game without paying. Like I say though - it's a cracking set up that many clubs would be envious of!

I think they came to some kind of arrangement to close off the path but that led to some guy, at a Coldstream v City game, loudly exclaiming "F**k off, I'm just walking ma dug and I'm nae paying"

Thornton Hibs have a similar sort of problem, being based in a public park.

As I pointed out obstacles along the way?

They done well to get it enclosed, don't think it was that easy, otherwise could've lost licence.

Since joining the EoS Thornton have had their pitch 'fenced in'.
