Jimi Shandrix
Boces by Mercury Rev for the first time in about 25 years. What a glorious fucking mess of a record.
Detournement
Kim Gordon's greatest moment. Slightly ironic given her later complaining about Thurston being a mad shagger.

Detournement
I've worked through Street Legal and Slow Train Coming over the past few days in my Dylanathon. Street Legal is frustrating because it has some great songs that sound average because of the production. Senor (Tales of Yankee Power) is tremendous though. Slow Train Coming is the first overt Christian album which must have been jarring at the time but the main thing is the production is a hundred times better thanks to Mark Knopfler and Aretha Franklin producer Jerry Wexler. It doesn't feel much like a Dylan album but as AOR album it's absolutely brilliant and Bob's vocals are on form.
Jimi Shandrix
The classic self titled debut by Do Make Say Think from 1998. A high watermark for post rock.
Jimi Shandrix
Just had a wee blast of Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica but I think it was because I'm subconsciously missing my daily fix of Fast Eddie outside Boots.

Looking forward to Sonic's first solo album in 29 years next month.
