Fair enough - but I doubt many people would feel the need to use a fan for 5 months in a year in the UK.

Average UK temperature in October is 10 degrees, and that's London so maybe a degree or two less further north.  I wouldn't think a fan is needed as late as October.

I just found out this week that ceiling fans have two settings - summer and winter. Summer is clockwise to pull the heat up and winter is anti-clockwise to push it back down. The switch is on the casing above the blades.

Minds blown all over the shop.

Won't work in Australia mate, everyone knows things go the opposite way over there.

That reminds me, I'm going to drain a bath at some point and see if this water going counter-clockwise to the opposing hemisphere is a myth or not.
