Sergeant Wilson
Why did Crimewatch & the Met totally disregard the result of the dog search? Who found a dog?

welshbairn
Yes it was freakish, yes you are right that freakish occurrences happen, even if you take every precaution, but the vast majority of parents take adequate steps to protect their children. The McCanns did not. I am a parent and my daughter is doing very well thankyou. Are you staring at her?
Cowden til i die
He did check on them though did he not The way it was put across is he checked to see if they were there and sleeping. If you knew your kid was up walking about a strange house late at night alone would you be concerned?

Zen Archer (Raconteur)
What's the story with the dog search? The dog went missing with Maddy, sounds like The Wizard Of Oz.
The OP
Could you summarise those facts (genuinely don't know). Do they include all their pals not seeing anything ?? I watched a very small snippet. I'm trying to avoid feeding the media circus and I think I'm incredibly unlikely to volunteer useful information or crack the case from the clues we have to hand. On the other hand, I believe in challenging some of the bizarre reaction to the story. I'm not sure if that is hypocritical or not. On the other point, I would say that 'even IF' the quote was in her book, which I don't accept at the moment, it has to have entered their head that she may have been abducted in order to be raped. Unfortunately, we're unlikely to get to the bottom of it because no-one would ever in their right mind own up to owning that book. orlandoblue
tanner didn't give a description of the man she thought she saw carrying a blonde 4 year old until 4 months after MM was reported missing. does that sound normal to you? if tanner is exposed as a liar it would be petrol on the conspiracy bonfire which they probably want to avoid. how can it have taken the police over 4 years to find this guy? why would the person not have come forward if they were in the area with their own 4 old year daughter? nothing about the tanner sighting makes sense. I'm an open minded person - but are you telling me that the McCann's were not only involved in this but also managed to convince their friends to lie on their behalf ?
I'm Brian
Are you staring at her? No. Are you about to suggest that I should be condemned to hell for not staring at her 24 hours a day?

Cowden til i die
It's ridiculous to suggest the folk they were dining with were in on it. If they were it was purely Gerry (perhaps with the mum too) but it seems very unlikely.

Fife Saint
There's some easily accessible quotes and statements about one of the Tapas 9 who made a couple people feel uncomfortable around their daughter. The same individual's behaviour in the following days after the disappearance were noted as unusual in police records. Probably shite.

To be fair, if your bairn had been abducted, your imagination would be away wi' the goalie - as disturbing as that statement by Mrs McCann is, I'm not sure that anything can be read into it - you'd be out of your mind, imagining all sorts. Lisa Cuddy
I'm fairly certain she said something along the lines of "weeks, months ... years !" (I may be wrong though !) She absolutely did. I'm beginning to wonder how many people actually watched the programme properly and listened to what was being said. To be fair, if your bairn had been abducted, your imagination would be away wi' the goalie - as disturbing as that statement by Mrs M is, I'm not sure that anything can be read into it - you'd be out of your mind, imagining all sorts. I had to read this post twice. I was wondering what I'd said!
