Spain V Portugal

Div

Recommended Posts

Spain have never lost to Portugal in a competitive football match having faced each other six times in major tournaments. Last time Portugal beat Spain was 23 years ago in a friendly ! :o

BUT

Spain have faced the host country seven times in major tournaments and have lost every single one :o

got to be spain I'm afraid. Portugfal just haven't turned up for their own tournament. Of course everybody will go on about it being a blow to the tournament if they don't make it through as hosts, mind you can't imagine the same being said about us if we'd won the right to host 2008.

Don't know if spain will win but will get the point they need, with greece topping the group, which will be greeted with joy down south, but then the ingerlish are always vulnerable when they are expected to win comfortably B)

You had me excited there with the first line, boss. Then completly (sp?) deflated with the second. :(

The fact Spain is so close to Portugal will allieviate the "host" factor IMO so point one is more valid.

Raul is due a goal too.

Spain 2-1 Portugal, Raul to score first @ 50/1

Completely.

I still fancy Portugal for this game, they will turn it on.

This game has 'draw' written all over it ;) Portugal have struggled and i expected a shit load more from Pauletta, especially as i had him each way as top scorer

Anyway, my prediction is a score draw <_<

I'd just looked that up too!

Any idea on Portugal team?

Ricardo

Miguel Carvalho Andrade Valente

Maniche Costinha

Figo Deco Ronaldo/Simao

Pauleta

I'd play fake Ronaldo, they'll probably play Simao though.

I thought the first fifteen minutes were brilliant. Pish since then though.

Got Raul first and Spain 2-1.......

That was bison! What a strike!

Anyone see Spain getting back into this?

Doesn't look like it. :bairn

Casillas is keeping the game alive at the moment.
