booitsme7
England declared overnight on 470-5. England bowled South Africa Invitation XI out for 188. (Broad 3-18, Footitt 2-51,Stokes 2-25) England end day 2 on 99-3 (leading by 381) with Hales failing again with the bat scoring just 8 again.
booitsme7
England's warm up match against South Africa Invitation XI ended as a draw because of the weather. England resumed on 99-3 but slipped to 148-8 as five wickets fell for 15 runs. England were bowled out for 190 leaving SA Invitation XI 473 to win but the rain came after just 2 overs with the score 5-0.
Fuctifano
Watching the NZ vs SL test, NZ have spunked both their reviews in the first 16 overs on marginal LBW calls. I still think captains don't quite know how to use these after the 5 / 6 years it's been in play. Also disagree with the idea that you shouldn't lose a review if it's umpire's call, you'd be getting about 10 reviews an innings.

Think the strategy that captains should be using is to keep one in the bank for the whole 80 overs in case there is a massive blunder, and use one on a marginal LBW punt (unless you're maybe 70/75 overs in and might just burn the second one anyway). If a team burns two up early and then gets undone by a stinker, then they have to take it on the chin, alas.....

Bearwithme
Finn may have bowled his way into the England Test team after taking 4 wickets in a warm-up. A bowler I rate, assuming he's fit enough.
Fuctifano
Kane Williamson scoring a vital 4th innings ton to lead NZ to a tight win in a low scoring match vs SL, 10 needed now with 5 wickets in hand. Some player, if he stays fit he should break all the Kiwi batting records. 5 tons in this calendar year.
Savage Henry
That was a very impressive win for the England side against South Africa A by the looks of things. I would imagine the first test XI would be very similar to that team, only with Anderson in for Footit.
Bearwithme
Anderson is an injury doubt, so Footitt could get a go.
peasy23
Anderson confirmed as out of the first test. TMS have tweeted that Woakes was bowling first in the nets before Footitt and Jordan this morning, they think he will get the nod. peasy23
Root goes for 24, 49-3, trapped lbw by the first ball from Piedt which was a cracker. England went for the review but it was hitting the top of middle stump.
