If Duckett makes runs at 4, they could be on to a winner. I'd disagree with you over that and more importantly I reckon Alastair Cook would too, we're approaching 80 overs and of the spinners only Rashid's had a decent bowl - Ali's just been brought on for a pre new ball cameo. Turning into a mirror image of the First Test when England finished the first day on 311/4. As ever in the subcontinent it'll probably be a runfest until the last two days and we see how much the pitch deteriorates. I find something comforting that apart from the run rate being closer to 3.5 rather than 2.5 this Test probably isn't that different from many of those played 30/40 years ago. ******************* Edit - Ansari gets a bowl too as Cook's not taken the new ball straight away it's turning into one of those quiet passages you get in Test matches with the batsmen looking to go in, not out (I'm sure there's a joke in there). Ooops, there's the 300 up! Second Edit - Cook should have had a gully in for the nightwatchman - 7 balls before close of play and obviously looking to protect Kohli from the last over. Missed a chance to go in almost evens, gully in now for Broad but there's no way Ashwin will be looking for a single in the final over. peasy23
England in a spot of bother as Duckett goes for 5, following Cook and Hameed, England 72-3 with Root having scored 47 of them. India were all out for 455.
Bearwithme
England collapsing like a house of cards. 82 for 5.

Test firmly in India's favour.
Bearwithme
NZ have collapsed to 194 for 9, leading Pakistan by 61 runs. Sky Sports 5.
peasy23
Decent morning for England after Bairstow managed to trip up and injure himself walking out to the middle at the start. He went just before lunch as England got to 191-6.
peasy23
India take the new ball one over after lunch, Rashid then scuds 3 boundaries off the next over from Umesh. Instant bowling change.
peasy23
England all out for 255, Ashwin with another 5 for. Broad unlucky as he was out lbw and it looked to be sliding down leg side, but England had already used their reviews. One was wasted by Stokes who was also lbw, it looked plumb but I think he thought it nicked the inside edge, it looked as if it might have on thr replay but even if if had it was caught after it came off his pad so he was out either way. India could have still enforced the follow on but they are going to bat themselves with a lead of 200.
peasy23
An unwanted record for Jimmy Anderson this morning as he equals the record of number of ducks in Test matches for England, he is in some esteemed company though.... 20 J Anderson, M Atherton, S Broad, S Harmison & M Panesar
Bearwithme
A review gives England their second early wicket. 17-2. India still highly likely to win.
jmothecat
Looking likely. Plenty of time for India left in the test and already have a pretty decent lead.
die hard doonhamer
England would need to skittle them for less than 100, and even then I'd still favour India.
peasy23
India were effectively 298-3 at the close with Kohli in fine form again. You can't really see anything other than a home win from here.
peasy23
India out just before lunch for 204. England need 405 to win with 5 sessions to do it/survive depending on how positive you are.
Bearwithme
It'll be a major surprise if India don't win. Meanwhile, Oz have certainly rung the changes! https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/nov/20/australia-make-six-changes-in-drastic-selection-shake-up-for-third-test
jmothecat
England reach 51 without losing a wicket. Playing slowly, but keeping in. Very unlikely England will manage anything here but they've started off well.
die hard doonhamer
53 runs in 42 overs. Heroic.

btb
Would be the second highest winning total in a fourth Innings IIRC.
