peasy23
Stokes gets one to keep low on Faf and bowl him off the bottom edge. Vd Dussen currently 93*. Next partnership is the key. These two need to be there at the close today for SA to have any chance of avoiding defeat. That was an absolute stinker of a delivery to Faf, feck all you can do with those.

peasy23
Game over imo, van der Dussen walks right into a trap, holing out to a good catch by Broad on 98.
peasy23
Bavuma has somehow managed to score 23 without getting out as he has slashed at a few and got lucky, the latest one clearing Root by a whisker

die hard doonhamer
Horrendous run out sees the end of Hendricks. They might not even make it to the new ball.

die hard doonhamer
And Wood wraps up a 191 run victory and a 3-1 series win, getting Nortje caught behind down the leg side (given after review). Salvo Montalbano
BBC website and some of the papers going big (and to be fair some of this comes from quotes from the England players) that this series win - a series win where they lost one game and were playing arguably the worst South Africa team ever - makes Joe Root an excellent captain and has really put the frighteners up the Australian side ahead of the Ashes. Yet again highlighting why I can't support this mob, even against the Australians.

Yet again highlighting why I can't support this mob, even against the Australians.I still want them to win but for the reasons you have given they need a serious reality check. If the Aussie fast bowlers are all fit they will get destroyed & the likes of Curran, Woakes & Broad will be ineffectual on those pitches with the Kookaburra ball. Get the feeling that any positive result in the tests against a very poor Sri Lanka will make them believe India are there for the taking. They never learn.

That is an utterly horrendous decision. Although when he fails, again, hopefully it means that they go in to the summer with a top 3 of Burns, Sibley, Crawley.
peasy23
Shouldn’t be anywhere near the Test side but the ECB are paying him a lucrative Test contract so they probably feel obliged to shoehorn him in. Absolutely this. No other logical reason to bring him back.
peasy23
Denly was a bit of a surprise pick for the ODIs, but he is almost single handedly giving England a chance here. 239-7 with 3 overs left and Denly on 77.
