jaggyness
I think it's the 40 overs of rain delays that have turned it into a decent day, another 4 of those and they might sneak a draw. More rain forecast tomorrow and Saturday. Still not beyond England to lose this heavily
peasy23
India all out for 266 at the Wanderers, setting South Africa 240 to win. They are off to a decent start, 29-0 after 6 overs. Time certainly on their side with 2 and a bit days left.
PB1994
South Africa are going very well here. Hopefully they don’t have an England style collapse.
PB1994
And there goes the second wicket. Very surprised they didn’t review that. At worst I think they would still have kept the review from an Umpires Call. Edit - Okay turns out I shouldn’t be making a career as an umpire. It was out. peasy23
Dean Elgar will be nursing a few bruises tonight, Shami giving him a bit of a going over.
peasy23
SA 118-2 at stumps, need 122 to win. Should be a cracking day tomorrow.
peasy23
Sun shining in Sydney just now, but another mixed forecast for the day's play. Play starting early at 11 pm after around half of yesterday's overs were lost.
peasy23
Australia declared on 416-8 with Khawaja scoring 137, after Root had dropped him on 28.England 13-0 at the close, but not without a scare after Crawley was caught by Warner, but was reprieved by a Starc no ball.
peasy23
Just as well South Africa have time on their side, as no play has been possible so far today due to rain.
peasy23
India were making it tough going, but they have shipped 15 extras in 45 minutes play, not great when your opponent is chasing a low total. SA need 79 with 8 wickets still in hand.
peasy23
Shami gets van der Dussen to edge one to slip, out for 40. SA still need 75, and there is enough in this pitch to make you think they can still come up well short.
peasy23
Elgar and Bavuma stepping it up a gear, only 16 needed now with another 4 extras from a wayward bouncer.
peasy23
Fitting that Dean Elgar hit the winning runs, excellent win for SA. First ever win over India at The Wanderers in 6 attempts.Bit of needle towards the end, Siraj especially wasn't a happy camper.
Fuctifano
This India team throwing the toys out the pram when things aren't going their way is par for the course, just a shame Kohli wasn't out there as well. 2 cracking underdog results in the last couple of days, if England can lose by less than an innings it's probably a similar level of upset
Arthur Orton
Delighted for Test cricket with what's happened last couple if days. Now if only the fucking morons in charge could get around to giving it the care and attention it deserves instead of fancying about with crap like the 100 and the obsession with T20. Test cricket is the pinnacle, the challenge, the benchmark of what the sport is. Incentivise the players to play it . Stop making it play second fiddle to the IPL etc. It's a crucial few years coming up for the sport. Do they have the guts to not ruin real cricket for the next generation.

Nothing compares to test match cricket.
peasy23
Start in Sydney delayed by rain. Stokes injured, maybe asking him to bowl loads of short stuff hasn't been a good idea, just like they broke Archer doing the same thing.

Forecast for Saturday is for heavy rain too so its not looking good.
