Think it was mentioned the record chase at Trent Bridge is something around 280, so another record will have to be broken.

Can't see it myself unless Clarke scores 100+.

That's a pretty meaningless stat though. It was New Zealand and they were 280-6 IIRC, pretty sure they could have got 311 had they kept going.

Huge period before lunch here, Aussies can't afford to lose an early wicket. Watson and Rogers need to get blocking and play defensively.

5/2 the Aussies with Paddy Power. That looks really poor value.

Do we know yet if Agar is batting at 3 or 4?

3 or 4?:lol:Will be 7 at the highest. Solid start from the Aussies, Watson looking good. He needs a big innings.

Couple of alarms, but they have done really well to get to lunch wicketless. Those small sessions are usually guaranteed to get one or two nipped out.

Long long way to go til they reach their target though. Need to be 150 for 3 at worst halfway.

This opening partnership between Rogers and Watson is in danger of making Australia slight favourites. With Australia 59-0, I'd say the match is in the balance. England need to get at least a couple of wickets before Australia reach 100.
