Hear Rogers has already ruled himself out as he doesn't believe he will be able to see the ball (he's colourblind apparently), Starc has also been critical, suggesting it behaves too differently to the red ball and he's also flagged up potential difficulties in actually seeing the ball.

QLD v WA and SA v NSW. Starc took 7 wickets in the Adelaide match but players weren't overly enthusiastic about the game.

So basically it's Rashid vs Moeen for the number 8 position and the rest picks itself?
Fuctifano
So basically it's Rashid vs Moeen for the number 8 position and the rest picks itself? Nah, Rashid's there if they decide to play 2 spinners- Wood would drop out. They played 2 spinners in 2009 at Cardiff.

I imagine they'll be strongly tempted to do that of it's another Burner down in Cardiff. Would give them an incredibly strong tail, on paper anyway.

peasy23
Shame about Harris, his economy rate was superb, always did a great job of helping to build pressure.
kerrdavidson95
Anyone saying England will win the Ashes are being a bit too overconfident. They'll take it close, but they won't win.
Eednud
Just watched KP smashing 83 in 57 balls for St Lucia Zouks, they made 158/4 v Jamaica Tallawahs.

pandarilla
So what are we doing here? Bat or ball?
Highlandmagyar
I would elect to bowl if I won the toss!
Fuctifano
England win the toss and bat, will be tricky early on. Can take or leave England when it comes to cricket, was wanting the Kiwis to beat them in the last series, but the Australian cricket team are up there with the likes of Chelsea in the amount of utter c***s that play for them (Warner, Watson, Haddin, Johnson off the top of my head)- although weirdly Clarke as captain comes across as decent enough. So hoping for an England win but can see this being 3-1 Australia.
Highlandmagyar
As it's the swan song for this ageing Aussie side I'm taking them to win series 3-1.

kerrdavidson95
Its on the ECB website as far as I know. Just thinking with this 1st test being played in Wales, it would be interesting to see if they would ever consider sending a test north of the Border, to Grange or New Williamfield or Mannofield. I think it could be handled at any of these grounds as they've all held ODI and Intercontinental Cup matches before. I can see England being rolled for 200 in the first innings here.
