Eednud
South Australian Scorpions beat the NSW Breakers by 54 runs in the Women's National Cricket League Grand Final. Special things about this, they won away from home, it stopped NSW winning 11 titles in a row and and Englishwoman, Sarah Taylor hit 110 of SA 7/264.
peasy23
Australia need 74 to win at dinner with 7 wickets in hand. Should be comfortable but the ball seems to do strange things after the sun goes down.
peasy23
The aussies finally stagger over the line with 3 wickets in hand. The pink ball started to swing around after it got dark. It's Test Cricket, but not as we know it.
Fuctifano
Really enjoyed the highlights of that day/night test. Am I correct in assuming 3 days of 4 sessions equates a similar number of overs/hours as 5 days of 3 sessions Not that you would notice it on this particular test but I think the long days in the field may well tire out the bowlers, especially the quicks meaning more matches petering out to a run filled stale draw. I might be wrong though, are there any plans to introduce this format to England and/or the Carribean and Sub-Continent? Not sure what you're getting at here, it's exactly the same playing time, it just starts and finishes later. First ball was at 2.30pm local time. Think the biggest problem was how much the pink ball swung around under lights and whether it becomes too much of an advantage to be in the field at night. edit: though it does help if you have someone like Boult who is probably the 2nd best exponent of exploiting helpful swing conditions behind Anderson playing today. die hard doonhamer
Yeah just wondered if the same amount of overs were played in the new format as is during the standard 5 day test schedule It's still the standard 5 day format, just later in the day.

Bully Wee Villa
Cricketing version of a penalty shootout. Each team bats for one over, or until they lose two wickets.

Fuctifano
What happens if it's a tie in the super over? Although England should piss this now, some over from Jordan.

jmothecat
Cricketing version of a penalty shootout. Each team bats for one over, or until they lose two wickets. Thanks. With that considered that was brilliant by Jordan.
Fuctifano
Bowl outs >>> super over.
Bully Wee Villa
Super Over is much better than bowl outs, IMO. It incorporates all three aspects of the game not just one.

Fuctifano
I think it would have been infinite super overs.
Bully Wee Villa
I don't actually know. Either a tie or another Super Over, I guess. Commentator said it would've been decided by which team had the most boundaries throughout the game including the Super Over.
