IMO there can be good follow up's but more often than not, the original should've been left alone. The storyline and script sounded like they had been written down the pub at lunchtime and the speical effects were terrible. If anybody doubts its a worse film than RotLA two words "Short Round" Given the rules for sequels above surely Godfather 2 isn't a sequel because its a continuing story and prequel all in one. Some of the worst have to be the likes of American Pyscho 2 and Blair Witch Project 2 both of which had only the most tenious links to the originals. One of the best for me was Evil Dead 2. I was just answering that in the first Star Wars trilogy the other films were kind of necessary to give you the whole story. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the same.
