peasy23
Speith and Thomas are a scarily good Matchplay pairing, especially in fourballs.
peasy23
Tom Kim birdies the last to win the match against Cantlay and Schauffele. A chance that the International team could win the session with 2 points in the bag and tied in the final game.
peasy23
And they will win the session after Davis birdies 17 and Billy Ho misses to leave them dormice going up the last.
peasy23
Burns almost slam dunks his second at the last. Scott or Davis will likely have to hole their birdie putts to get the full point and cut the gap to 4 points.
peasy23
Rasmus Hojgard 9 shots better through the first 3 holes than he was yesterday.Started 4, 8, 6 yesterday, went 4, 2, 3 today thanks to a monster chip in for eagle on the 3rd.
peasy23
They always like to throw stats up during rounds. Showed one earlier that Jordan Smith leads the GIR stats this year by a mile on 73.78%, Ewen Ferguson was second on 71.8%, that's a big difference. The old saying of putt for dough springs to mind though, as he is ranked 142nd with 1.76 putts per green in regulation. Aaron Cockerill leads that particular stat with 1.51 putts per GIR, that's potentially 4.5 shots per round. You can guess what Smith should be working on this winter.

peasy23
Final three ball at the French Open all took iron off the tee on the 10th, with none of them finding the fairway. Pieters having just got within 1 of the lea put his in the water.
peasy23
Bob in the clubhouse on 8 under after a closing 68. Currently tied 9th, the sort of finish he needs to be producing more often to get himself back into the top 50 and the Ryder Cup spots.
peasy23
Pieters eagles 14 to get within 1 again, but dunks it in the water on 15, struggling to make bogey now. Coetzee also found the water, and that will leave Migliozzi and Hojgaard tied on 15 under.
peasy23
Coetzee triple bogeys 15, Pieters doubles it. Both 3 behind the leaders now.Craig Howie, Grant Forrest and Scott Jamieson all finished on 2 under. Howie creeping up the rankings, now projected to be 137th, a couple more decent finishes should see him keep his card.

Migliozzi finishes with a great birdie at the last for a 62 and a 1 shot lead.
peasy23
Migliozzi leads on 16 under after a closing 62, he almost holed his approach on 18 for eagle but rolled in the only birdie putt anyone has made on there today. Going to be tough for Hojgaard to find a birdie in the last two holes to tie.

Will definitely stick my name in for the Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs Senior Opens next season. Both in great condition. Like most ‘normal’ courses, a couple of bland holes here and there, and I didn’t like the 4th hole at Bishopbriggs, but mostly really excellent courses. The stretch at Bishopbriggs from the 14th thru 17th are brilliant holes. 18th is more straightforward, but a nice finishing hole. Won’t play Lenzie again, that hill up their 5th hole. It’s a killer. 🫣 Try Clober, green keepers are top guys and when I worked the clubhouse visitors always complimented the course, esp greens.
Distant Doonhamer
Just watching the Presidents Cup. Si Woo Kim has got right under Thomas's skin. JT looks absolutely angry at the world.
Ro Sham Bo
One thing I can take from this week's Presidents Cup is that at least I now know what Taylor Pendrith looks like.

JT looks absolutely angry at the world.Matchplay seems to bring out the c**t in Thomas, he was moaning at the Ryder Cup too when putts weren't conceded, yet he wouldn't concede similar putts himself. Glad he lost.
Ro Sham Bo
Not that the International team were ever likely to turn this round, but they've made some really basic errors in the last couple of hours.
