peasy23
Never watched a dart of the BDO due to it being on Eurosport which I don't have but assume the extra first round matches in the PDC closed the gap in a negative way this year compared to last.Definitely. Gave up watching the PDC in the first week, the standard was very poor in the first round. As for Q school, over 250 entries are in for the UK tourney, after 249 took part in the European one last week. Only 2 players per day are guaranteed their card. 15 players who took part at Lakeside have entered so far, including a handful of women.

I reckon many of the big name BDO players like McGeeney will struggle.

peasy23
Jamie Hughes first into the last 4, I know it's a short format but in his last 3 matches he has averaged 109.8, 109.3 and 108.5. Durrant went out in the last 128, and Waites in the last 64.
peasy23
21 year old Harry Ward was the first player to win a tour card with a 5-2 win over McGeeney.Jamie Hughes was next with a 5-1 win over Kirk Shepherd.
LeeVanTeeth
McGeeney should be alright then. Some big BDO names will be sweating over the next few days though.

JamieStevenson
Safe to say Durrant has shat it. Seen a few rumours suggest tomorrow will be his final day and he'll not be there on Sunday. Which is odd if true, I'd be going all out to try and get a card.

Or maybe cancel the exhibition he was supposedly playing on Sunday and even then it would be odds against him. Shocking results so far for a guy who was talking about equaling Bristow's three in a row BDO Worlds a week ago.

You would have thought he would at least have got through a few rounds every day and be close to making it on order of merit points.

Beaten today by a player who's career earnings from darts is £200.
JamieStevenson
Think I've made more than that playing darts over the years.

JamieStevenson
He's currently sitting in the final OOM spot. He's not be going to his exhibition in Holland and will give it his all tomorrow to make sure he gets his card. Will be a disaster if he fails to do so.
LeeVanTeeth
Durrant needs to win his section of the draw to get his card. No remotely big names in his path.
peasy23
Durrant needs to win his section of the draw to get his card. No remotely big names in his path. He scraped his last 128 tie 5-4, surviving 3 match darts against him in the process. Won his last 64 tie 5-0 with a 104+ average. Waites out in the last 128.
