Glasgow Warriors beat the Newport Gwent Dragons in a pre-season friendly this afternoon at Ebbw Vale 40-23.  Only a friendly where getting rid of the rust is a priority but nothing wrong with a confidence boosting win [emoji4]

More game time for an extended squad, here was today's team. Scoring 6 tries can only be a huge positive.

Will be kicking themselves, played very well but go in only 3 points ahead at half time.

Their scrum is getting destroyed.  I can see them losing this game.

Think they would have needed at least a 10 point lead at half time to win, can only see the ABs winning from here.

This has been some game. Completely unexpected after last week.

The demise of Australian rugby has been greatly exaggerated, on this showing.  This is the best game I've seen in a long time.

To be fair Australia have been rotten for quite a while now. This is their first really great performance in a long time.

He was also very decent after Scotland reserves beat them.  He even gave one of the Scottish sporting press's finest a bit of a showing up in the post-game conference.  Wears his heart on his sleeve, no more no less.

No, an actual Scottish journalist.  On that note, English's take on that game: "Brilliant game and all that, but the All Blacks are on the slide."  Negative tosser.

He finds it impossible to say anything positive about anyone these days. The ABs always seem to slip a little between world cups, but imo today was more about Australia showing a massive improvement from last week.

He was D'Arcy Rae's fag at Fettes.  Stafford McDowell was head boy.

I know you're taking the piss, but D'Arcy Rae was at Marr, while McDowell was at Kirdcudbright Academy, before Merchiston poached him offered him the chance to further his education.

Burr is a proper Gordonstoun posho though.
