peasy23
The Warriors ended up spending an unscheduled night in London due to flight problems on the way to SA. Hopefully doesn't affect their prep for the weekend too much.
Detournement
The Cheetahs look like a total rabble this season. 15 points from the next three games should be very achievable.
honestly united
Cheetahs are always going to struggle at the start of every season as they are playing Currie Cup games at the same time as Pro14 so their squad is stretched to thinly. they should pick up once the Currie Cup and Rugby Championship is finished
Detournement
I think all their best players left: Venter the centre to Worcester, the 8 and the full back moved to Scarlets, the hooker Glasgow wanted went to Bayonne and Mapimpi is with one of the Super Rugby teams. They are much weaker this season. It's incredible there is still talk about two more teams joining from SA despite how shit both teams are.

After SA and the Dragons home game at the end of the month, Zebre visit at the start of October.

come on shire
Frank Murphy from Ireland is our ref for the Cheetahs game in Bloemfontein. Edinburgh fans can enjoy Ian Davies of Wales for their home game vs Connacht.

Detournement
Edinburgh really need the win here. Good to see Bradbury back, hopefully we will see a good spell of him Ritchie and Watson. Looking at other teams Ospreys have basically named a second XV to play away to Munster. It's not great for the league if teams are just going to give up on games away to rivals and be confident that wins at home and against diddies will see them into the playoffs/champions cup.

Fair point, but I guess that there are certain venues where getting a win is rare so focus on squad management to juggle injuries etc. Munster had a fairly strong team at Scotstoun last Fri night, albeit without Conor Murray and CJ Stander. However, we bulldozed them and they couldn't live with us. Interestingly, Bundee Aki is on the bench for Connacht tonight.

Do Ireland / Wales and ourselves not have limits on the amount of games players can play? The Irish teams especially will have completely different teams in Europe compared to the early league games. You tend to fine anyone that is a first choice at international level will play a couple of early league games to get match fit, European games (if Champions cup), Autumn internationals and 6 Nations and summer tours takes you to 19 games. There are another 19 league games, plus any play offs for the league and european knock outs that they could potentially be involved in so picking and choosing who plays in what games is not unusual.

All three have limits on international players. Not sure what the others are but ours can only play 5 consecutive games

Also I dont like the move of taking off a 2nd row, bring on a back row and pushing Harley into the 2nd 60 minutes into a game, as if Harley gets injured were struggling for anyone else to play 2nd row! Surely we have someone knocking about that can play 2nd row, or start Fagerson and have Harley on the bench
come on shire
The Cheetahs team could be interesting tomorrow as it's their 1st home game of the season. They lost a few of their players over summer and they also have a Currie Cup game this weekend I believe. Also, watching the Edinburgh game just now. They're still lacking a cutting edge and have wasted a few opportunities. Shaping up to be a real arm wrestle...
