honestly united
We do need to build a squad of 30 plus that are all about the same standard so we dont see a drop when someone else comes in, or of a different style where by we can change the tactics with different players. I think its more that the selections for this game dont really seem to make much sense other than giving players game time

Gilchrist and Skinner are both very much in contention for a first team spot alongside Gray, and I think Brown is well worth his shot starting at hooker, he's been good this season. The back row is a bit green, but you've got Wilson in there and Strauss on the bench, and the backs are strong. We are building to the world cup and need to give people games. This team should be able to do the business, especially at Murrayfield. Skinner doesn't have a first team spot nailed down at Exeter so he's got a bit to do. Hopefully he steps up tomorrow.

Although one of the other 2nd rows he is competing with is also Scottish, ex Embra player, who's name slips my mind at the moment.

I don't think we can beat tops teams without one of Hogg or Russell playing with more emphasis on Russell. We need to score three tries to win a game. The wins over England, France, Ireland and Wales and Oz away we scored three tries. If we get the third try at home to NZ we win. The good thing is we are making the opportunities in every game it's just about finishing the chances.
honestly united
To be fair if we went back 4 or 5 years Kinghorn and Hastings now were where Hogg and Russell were then. What they are both lacking is experience which will only come with game time. Both are now extremely important players for thier club sides (Kinghorn more so) and to improve need the opportunity to play test matches.
Detournement
Four years ago was Glasgow's Pro 12 winning season. Kinghorn is a fair bit behind Hogg who had already toured with the Lions and there's no shame in that. Russell's strongest skill is taking the ball flat and distributing under pressure from the defence and that's something that Hastings still hasn't got to grips with. The two of them as well as Ritchie, Matt Fagerson and Graham need lots of game time in the tougher club games.

Scary Bear
I haven’t been to Murrayfield since we beat Ireland 27-22 in February 2017. Looking forward to another day at the rugby, a few tries and a few beers.

Detournement
Why is the TMO not on that? Leone clearly ahead of the ball at the ruck and all one phase.
Gianfranco
We’ve certainly found Fiji’s weakness.
Detournement
The TMO is quick enough to rule out our tries. The commentators don't seem to realise their second try was illegal.
