How am I contradicting it? I never said it's not in our hands.
You clearly said that assuming Scotland get 5 against Russia; a bonus point today for Japan plus a losing point for them against Scotland would put Scotland out. I correctly called this out as nonsense because a 5 1 victory for Scotland would put Scotland through. Read your first post.

That's consistent with the decision in the England game.  Penalty, no yellow.

It's a frustrating because we have a horse in this race, but we really shouldn't be wanting yellow cards to be dished out easily in rugby.

I'll have two horses in the race come the Japan v Scotland game......

I can't lose really!

Good half from Samoa actually. Japan only really impressed when they had a man advantage.

I thought Japan were pretty poor against Russia tbh. Never saw the Ireland game though.

11 caps for Samoa and lost in all of them. Just shows how far Samoa have fallen recently. Which is a pity as in the early 90s they were class.

I reckon there would have been some Scotland players from the Williams/Hadden era with records not far off that.

The professional era has been cruel to the likes of Samoa....very little investment in their rugby and losing players left, right and centre to other countries.

Contrast that with Japan, who have spent the last 6 years throwing money at their rugby team, including a deliberate and precise policy of 'nationalising' Aussies, Kiwis and Saffers.
