honestly united
Thought Glasgow looked better this week, but it was against a much weakened Embra side. Wilson though has been going on for some time that the youngsters and fringe players are going to have a big part to play during the extended international window, I would have thought yesterday was the ideal time to give them a run out to get a bit of experience, last game of the season, nothing to play for, get 2 or 3 youngsters in with the old heads would have been ideal.

ajwffc
The 700 fans gives Edinburgh both the highest and the lowest (with fans) attendances in the Pro 14 this season both at home to Glasgow. It also must be the lowest attendance in Pro14/12/Celtic League history. It is the 4th lowest behind Zebre v Newport Gwent Dragons (400) in 2013 Connacht v Caerphilly in 2001(455) and Connacht v Border Reivers (650) in 2005. Also Border Reivers lowest home attendance was 702 v Connacht in 2006 Edited September 1, 2020 by ajwffc

ajwffc
Champions cup seedings announced and then fixed This article has been edited to reflect a clarification which now places Connacht as a Tier 3 qualifier and Glasgow Warriors as a Tier 4 qualifier In light of the announcement by EPCR regarding qualifying places for European qualification for the 2020/21 tournaments, PRO14 Rugby can clarify how teams will be seeded. The eight highest-ranked teams from the Conference tables from Round 13 will represent the Guinness PRO14 in the Heineken Champions Cup for the 2020/21 season. Standings After Round 13 Conference A Leinster – 61 points Ulster – 43 points Glasgow – 34 points Dragons – 22 points Conference B Edinburgh – 47 points Munster – 45 points Scarlets – 37 points Connacht – 35 points These teams are: Conference A: Leinster Rugby, Ulster Rugby, Glasgow Warriors & Dragons. Conference B: Edinburgh Rugby, Munster Rugby, Scarlets, Connacht Rugby. Please note: The Toyota Cheetahs are ineligible for EPCR competitions so Dragons take their place in the rankings. The seedings for what tiers each team fits into the Champions Cup will be as follows. Tier 1: Both Guinness PRO14 Finalists for the 2019/20 season. Tier 2: Both losing semi-finalists from the 2019/20 season. Tier 3: Scarlets (37 pts after R13), Connacht (35 pts after R13) Tier 4: Glasgow Warriors (34 pts after R13), Dragons (22 pts after R13). This was incorrect.

GAD
Adam Ashe leaving warriors now. It also turns out we are now 4th seeds rather than 3rd for the Champions Cup.

honestly united
I always thought Ashe would be the next big thing, dont think he has ever reached his full potential. Probably down to 3rd choice no.8 at Glasgow behind Fagerson and Wilson, probably best all round if he moves on, might be best for him to try and get some game time to push on. Probably still time for him to get himself back in the international reckoning but needs a couple of solid years. Still leaves Glasgow short, you would have thought he would be guaranteed to start during the international break. I know he said that we wouldn't be making any signings but surely they must have someone lined up to give a bit more cover in the back row?
