No chance. He can barely get about the park these days. Bulking up to play lock (badly) ruined him.
come on shire
Domingo Miotti starts at 15 for Glasgow tomorrow night. Hopefully reinventing himself at FB finally gives him a chance to "happen" at Glasgow.

Miotti was one of the signings I was most looking forward to see play this year and he hasnt even got to play 10 yet
Detournement
Edinburgh with a strong XV for the Lions. Moving Boffelli to the wing to play Immelman at FB seems daft to me.
peasy23
Flicked the Warriors game on earlier just in time to see them go 40-5 ahead, ended up 40-12.

Mark Connolly
Dan Biggar has just smashed Radradra in the head with his shoulder. Karl Dickson says it was on chest then slid up, penalty only. Absolute horseshit refereeing
Mark Connolly
Scotland just gone 19-7 up in Cardiff in the Women's 6N. Playing pretty well tbh
Mark Connolly
Scotland were utterly shite from my last post onwards, eventually going down 24-19, although Joy Neville inexplicably gave a penalty only when the Welsh number 8 slapped one down on her own line in the dying seconds.

However with Ollie Smith injured and Josh McKay injured or whatever we needed cover. At least it allowed Thompson to start at 10. Zebre were poor but we still butchered opportunities to get a bigger win. We're still not ruthless enough under Wilson.
Detournement
There is a bit of a debate on Twitter about URC Vs the Premiership. I'm possibly being a bit harsh due to Covid but the URC hasn't been great and the eight playoff sides are already set in stone and have been for a few weeks. The format doesn't really work with so many uncompetitive teams and games. The straight 12 team league was the best format by far, expansion has been pish. I havent seen enough of the Premiership to fully comment, but in general terms the URC hasn't been great. I dont like formats where teams get an advantage by playing weaker opponents more. For example in the URC Glasgow and Edinburgh both benefit form playing Zebre twice, which should be a guaranteed 10 points. Has anyone ever looked at any league tables other than the full 16 team one? Are any of the SA internationals actually playing for the URC teams, as I dont think i've seen any mentioned ever. I know they missed the start of the year with Lions and the RC but there still hardly ever mentioned and the whole Covid re-arranged fixtures has caused a bit of a shambles. I was hoping next year might be better, the the RC runs through to end Sept, the SA players will then be on AI Duty, so we probably wont see them on league duty until the new year. I watched the Edinburgh game at the weekend, and Im sure they said the avg age of the SA teams was 20, and only 6 above 23. Which probably shows how seirously they are taking it.
GAD
I think despite the fact the URC has better teams and players, the Premiership is a much better league. It's more competitive, has decent rivalries and being a straight up league is better for the punters. There are no mini tours, so teams know where they stand week to week. I think the URC has lost a lot if what was starting to make the Pro12 really good. The natural rivalries are starting to die off (Glasgow v Ulster/Munster for example), there are too many shit teams. Actually, maybe too many shit teams is unfair, as the Prem has loads of shit teams, but maybe there is too much of a gap between the top and the bottom teams in the URC.

Dragons are almost as bad as Zebre tbf. Connacht are the big losers of the groups. Not playing each other twice is pish for building rivalries. Glasgow Vs the Irish teams always has a bit of dig so it's disappointing to lose 50% of that. The Sharks had Ox, Bongi, Kolisi and Mapimpi when they played Edinburgh and Am was out injured. The rest of the big names are in Europe or Japan. The Japanese based players will probably be in URC next season.

come on shire
The football team I support were one of the minority to vote against the Old Firm Colts coming back into the Lowland League next season. However, would this work in the Super 6? The Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh sending their academy teams into the Super 6? They couldn't win the league but it'd give the academy players regular competitive games. Also, it would give the best players from the Super 6 teams a gauge to see if they're good enough to join one of the FT set ups?
