peasy23
Second half has been utterly dire.
Detournement
Good call. Players shouldn't be getting rewarded for dropping before contact.
Mark Connolly
That's fucking horseshit, the guy has slipped into the tackle, he's hit the ball, and slipped up on a guy who is falling. It's a penalty, but a yellow card is fucking nonsense. Their centre also got straight back up, and started screaming at McKay that he wanted a chat in the car park.
Detournement
The Saffer TJ can't see a clear knock on five yards in front of him but has called Glasgow offside about half a dozen times.
Self-raising Lazarus
Edinburgh have been woeful, win a turnover, forward pass. Kick a penalty to touch and throw a wild dart over the top.
honestly united
Glasgow looked really good for the first 30 minutes, we were winning turnovers nearly every breakdown, then all of a sudden something switched and were on the backfoot the rest of the game. I dont know if it was fitness, weather, just being in SA, but the drop of was alarming. Fair play the stormers played some cracking rugby (why SA dont is beyond me) but something is lacking, it was very similar to the Cardiff game a few weeks ago

It has to be a coaching issue.

The subs never improve Glasgow either.
ajwffc
Probably be the only time you hit an opsosition player high and get the pen in your favour
peasy23
Probably be the only time you hit an opsosition player high and get the pen in your favour Good decision by Barnes imo, and utterly needless by Dombrandt.

Mark Connolly
The sooner Kiran McDonald fucks off to Wasps the better. Absolute penalty machine
ajwffc
Changes in the European qualifiers for the 2023 RWC. Spain played an ineligible player in 2 of their games. They have been deducted 10 points drooping them to 4th in the table and losing there place at the RWC for the 2nd time. Romania become Europe 2 and get a place in Pool B. Portugal now get the Europe 3 spot in the Final Qualification Tournament.
Mark Connolly
Good game between Northampton and Harlequins at the moment, Huw Jones and Rory Hutchison both playing very well. Jones scored off a ridiculous piece of skill by Joe Marchant Saints lost both their tightheads to injury early on, so it's 15v15 with uncontested scrums, and it's fast as f**k. The poor replacement tighthead knocked himself out by running squarely onto Courtney Lawes elbow as he tried to bind on and drive him forward
honestly united
Hadnt realised Josh Straus had been playing for the Tel Aviv Heat in the European Super Rufby cup, knocked out in the semi's a few weeks back https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tel_Aviv_Heat Having looked through the teams its a mixture of locals and a few known jobbers (ie Nic Groom) Edited April 30, 2022 by honestly united
Mark Connolly
What a finish to the London Irish-Wasps game. Wasps lead 39-14 at one point, then 42-35 as the game entered injury time. Irish got a penalty in the Wasps half, which their outside centre inexplicably took quickly, and got levelled and driven backwards. Except the tackler wasn't 10, so they got another penalty, which they kicked into the corner. Drove the lineout, and hurtled over the line in the corner. Neither the ref nor AR had a grounding, so they went to the TMO. TMO shows that Launchbury had hauled the maul down, so instead of having a tricky conversion from the touchline to level it, Irish got a penalty try, no kick needed, and got the draw!
ajwffc
It has worked out nicely for the URC with the Scottish Italian Shield.
Mark Connolly
If everything goes to plan, we could have a Glasgow v Edinburgh semi in Europe as well. It won’t, but it’s a nice thought.
honestly united
10 players out and 2 in for next season so far, https://www.glasgowwarriors.org/news/glasgow-warriors-confirm-2021/22-leavers?fbclid=IwAR384NxPsREsvWEIVB_loyOBftEZL51ZFa-hmULx9SOXPREqx9sg63MrVL8 Suprised by Lambert and Stewart leaving, sounds like Lambert already has something else lined up, wonder if Edinburgh would be an option for Stewart?
