Mark Connolly
Just a few things now we know the finalists. This morning was the 11th time Garces has reffed SA. It was only SA's second win in those games. If South Africa win next week, they will become the first team to win the RWC in 3 different continents. If England win, they will join Australia as having won it twice without either of the wins in their home continent. England will have done it in 2 different continents, while OZ won both theirs in Europe (both at Twickenham). In the professional era, South Africa have only faced the British and Irish Lions as the World Champions. The Lions next tour SA in 2021.

peasy23
Brillianthttps://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/50205293Don't like siding with Eddie but that is a cracking put down.Andy Nicol did make the point on the radio on Saturday that nobody remembers how well Australia played against the All Blacks in the 2003 semi because they went on to lose the final. The same would happen to England if they don't follow up Saturday's performance with a win in the final. Will be interesting to see how SA line up, it was the extra power they got from the introduction of their subs that won them the match on Sunday. Do they start with some of those guys or look for them to make the same impact off the bench?

Owens continually jobs French and Italian clubs in Europe and the Pro14.

World Rugby are fine with British refs reffing other British sides. 2007 final England v South Africa had an Irish and 1991 Australia v England had a Welsh ref

peasy23
Another great record for Warren Peak Gatlandball. Also pleasing to see that NZ Rugby have basically said he has no chance of getting their job due to his 2021 Lions tour commitments.
