Thought it would just be a brown ale. Instead it tasted like salty vegan bacon with nondescript mulch.

The Aunt Bessie's Apple Crumble and Custard pale wasn't too bad at all, pretty sweet but none the worse for that.

That one is lovely. As are the other two in the four pack.

Ah, I purchased the Apple Crumble and Jam Rolly ones as individual cans from Northern Monk's website - sounds like I've done well to avoid the brown ale there. It gets noticeably lower scores on Untappd.

On a similar note, Northern Monk's Scampi Fries in their 'Bar Snacks' range from earlier in the year was dreadful.
