Looks like the midgies stayed away ? Midges stayed away until extra time, got a bit dicey after that haha! Cracking wee setup at Drymen I’m still recovering from getting eaten alive at Aberfoyle last Friday lol. Drymen at home Tuesday and Friday could be a goer ! -

JamieThomas
Hartford City 5 AC New York 0 tonight at Al Marzook Field. Decent end to end game the first half with chances at both ends, but Hartford scored after a couple of minutes to make it 1-0 and it stayed that way til half time. Second half saw the two Hartford subs brought on at half time run absolutely amok and a final scoreline of 5 scud Hartford. I'm not sure who the Hawks are, but probably the uni lacrosse team or some such shit. Was actually pretty impressed by the standard, as I was expecting it to more or less be Sunday league. Good few rungs above that, with maybe two or three players I could see playing at something like the Lowland league level. Will be back to see these lads again. Crowd was maybe 150-200 with the obligatory "Ultra" section playing a drum for 90 minutes. They did a version of Just a Friend by Biz Markie though, so they're sound by me. Crowd 85. Just need Jeanfield now to re-complete the East of the Scotland League. -

JMDP
Wandered down to the charity match between Real Madrid and Chelsea legends. 5-4 to Real at a snails pace in blazing heat. Decent way to spend a Sunday evening. Some great players on show like Raul, Morientes and erm, Edwin Congo.

Rab B Nesbit
Ticked another one off in the Forth & Endrick League last night. Drymen United 2-1 Buchlyvie. Really hard fought one this and clearly little love lost between the supporters. Finished 8v9. Crowd about 65. -
Jute
Heading to friendly between Spartans and Keith today. ETA: Finished 2-1 to Spartans. Spartans had the better chances with Keith keeper making several good saves. Keith came into the game a bit more in the 2nd half and had a couple of good chances for an equaliser at the end. The Mantis
Just back from a week in the Faroes and saw a couple of games, so I'll post a few pics later. Some people may have heard of the pitch at Eiði, which was reputed to be one of the most spectacular settings for a stadium in Europe. Sadly, it's now used as a caravan park, and the new stadium is right in middle of the village. My photo from 2016 was taken before the new stand was built.
