BullyWeeStonehouse
Forgot to post this last week. Bolton have been my English team since I was about 14 and I try and go see them every season or two if I can. This was my First game due to covid and other things for about 5 years. Wigan 1-1 Bolton. Game of two halves. All Wigan first half, Bolton were awful. Second half Bolton came out and dominated and got the equaliser with 7 mins to go. Jon Dadi Bodvarsson who scored is an excellent striker. One to look out for. Good point for Bolton considering Wigan are pushing for the title and it’s a big derby game. Just over 15,000 at the game in total with 4000 Bolton fans. Was a nice change being in amongst a crowd like that with a good atmosphere compared to Broadwood! It was also nice to enjoy a pre game pint in the stadium before taking our seats.

GNU_Linux
Edinburgh Uni 3-3 Dalbeattie Star. Started in Shorts weather finished in a snow shower! Brilliant end to end game. Neither side great but great entertainment. Nice people and a lovely club. Even if there were a few literal Edinburgh Uni accents floating about. Are the Uni still doing the home made baking I've heard so much about?

A decent ground and a good game. After a lifetime of going to Rugby Park with the odd trip to Hampden, this was a whole different level of fan experience. The air was full of flying pints of lager and clouds of cannabis smoke when young Antony got an 86th minute winner in a thrilling 3-2 victory for Ajax. I know it's showing its age a little now and they are or have been sprucing it up a bit but I think the Amsterdam Arena is a great stadium. Not quite on the same level and not quite a random game as my folks live in Kelty so I went there for dinner but I was at Kelty Hearts v Stirling Albion. Have been going to the odd Kelty game for about 30 years, but this was the first time I've been able to sit at New Central Park. Wasn't a great game - very much an end of season affair with Kelty confirmed as Champions and Stirling comfortably mid table. Well taken goal to put the Binos ahead then a scrappy finish after a storming run up the middle for the equaliser. Crowd of just over 500 and a decent steak pie.

Wasn't any football on unfortunately (think Ottawa Fury was the team at that point) but did take in an Ottawa 67s hockey match in the rink underneath the football stadium.
Dave
Has anyone ever got tickets for a St Pauli game? I'm over in Hamburg in a couple weeks time and hoping to get a ticket to the St Pauli vs Darmstadt game, I know it'll be a game in high demand due to league position but I've been checking the official website daily for about two weeks now and doesn't seem like tickets have gone on sale yet. Tried messaging a couple of fan groups on Facebook but had no response...

Tried messaging a couple of fan groups on Facebook but had no response... I‘ve been numerous times, but always in the away end. Most clubs in Germany are doing things very much 1 game at a time this season. From what I can make out, when sales start they‘ll be offered 1st to members and if any left (they did have just over 30.000 members a couple of years ago), then will next be offered to those with a purchasing history. Maybe @itzdrk can offer some ideas as to where to get.

I also had one in November this year but the game got called off for covid when I was on the way to the airport, I got someone off a Facebook group to hook me up because they are a member. Double gutted cause I had a ticket for the süd. I'm going to that Darmstadt game (hopefully) too, tickets aren't yet on sale. It's usually quite short notice. Promises of an Eco Stadium in Gretna then went bust and ended up playing at Everholm in Annan So wrecked was Fir Park they also IIRC moved 1 or 2 league games to Livingston and Scottish Cup tie to QotS. German Jag
FC Einheit Wernigerode - VfL Halle 1896 Oberliga NOFV, Staffel Süd (Tier 5) Short trip East to Wernigerode. Back in East German times, Einheit were known as BSG Wernigerode and had a couple of seasons in the old DDR 2 division, but spent most of their time in the regional divisions below. This season they've managed to reach the final of the Saxony-Anhalt cup (after beating Rot-Weiß Erfurt and more surprisingly 3rd division Halle. Opponents in the final will be FC. Magdeburg and with Magdeburg odds on to get promotion to the 2nd division, then participation in next years DFB-Pokal is looking more than likely. Typical April weather with conditions varying between "taps-aff" and hailstones. Interesting enough game which ended up 2-2. 245 in attendance.

Crow
Edinburgh United 0-3 Kirkcaldy & Dysart @ Paties Road Stadium . The visitors secured a 13th straight league win in a hard fought game. Goals on 9, 41 and then 75 minutes to end any hopes of a comeback in what was to be United manager Ian Flynn’s last game in charge. Crowd 38. Connor1874
Not entirely random, but speaking of St Pauli, I will be at the Schalke vs St Pauli match on May 7th. It'll be my first trip to Germany (and Schalke) for 3 years for obvious reasons so very much looking forward to it. And it looks to be a very good match indeed. It's the penultimate game of the season, and both sides are pushing for promotion. St Pauli have been in the top 2 for most of the season, while Schalke have mostly been inconsistent, but have now won 4 on the bounce since Mike Buskens took over as caretaker to go top of the table. Very close going into the final 5 games, but hopefully we'll be partying in Gelsenkirchen until the wee hours.
