Right enough, I saw Coustrain and assumed it was him who’d be on trial. Thorson was a bizarre signing, did he play at all? We must’ve spent a fair chunk on him given we were housing and presumably feeding him as well as paying his wage.

The trialists were Joel Coustrain and Yaw Osei. Not since Juan Guerrero have I seen a player so out his depth as Yaw was. Absolutely miles off it.

This could be a decent topic so I’ll float it here, too. I’m trying to work out what the best Rovers goal I’ve seen is - with the caveat that footage of it has to exist. That shouldn’t be a problem that every game has been filmed for the last 10 or so years and my memory beyond that isn’t great. Ones I’ve thought of so far are Vaughan away to Queens where he volleys it right into the postage stamp and it clips the post and rolls round the back of the net, giving it at least an extra point on the aesthetic scale. Vaughan again, scores a free kick in front of the McDermaid stand against a team in white strips (can’t work out who). Whips it right across the wrong side. Fully 30 yards. Grant Murray away to the Pars. That volley. McHattie away to Dundee Utd - which I think is my favourite. Hit me with your best.

Can’t believe anyone thinks anyone other than Regan Hendry is POTY. McDonald was brilliant until Christmas, then fell away a wee bit. That’s not a slight on him at all, he was just so good at the start of the season. Hendry is the stand out in literally every game he plays.

I did 40 miles today, which I was quite pleased with. I’ve been building the distance up over the last wee while and today was the longest I’ve done, about 2 hours 50 mins. I’ve got a hybrid rather than an all out road bike as the slightly bigger tyres are good for city centre riding, up and down pavements etc. I go to work and back every day which can be anything from 1 mile to 5 miles there and back. The biggest benefit, however, is the mental cleansing it offers. Just you, the road and the wind in your hair. Great now more than ever.

I was at creamfields that weekend and had terrible signal. All the notifications came through at once so I went through all those emotions in about 3 seconds.

What on earth are the outgoings which are so massive that they could put us out of business? We’ve no wages to pay, there’s £10K a month coming in from the supporters fund and have been donated over £50k. What’s going on?
