  1. Perhaps a contractual issue - as in he wants an extension beyond the end of the season? Squad size/lack of loans maybe? “Deteriorating relationship” would certainly point to one of those things. What now, then? Hartley and Duffy seem like two obvious choices but I’m not sure either of them would guide us towards the play offs in the league above which is what we should really be thinking about with this appointment. McGlynn? My love for Joo Magoo is well documented but I dunno if it’s right. He’d absolutely get us out of this godforsaken hell hole of a league, though. In short, I have no idea. We’ve not had to pay any money for Smith to go which is something at least.
  2. I’d like to think that Smith also thinks we need a RB tbh. We offered terms to Jason Thomson, he turned them down and we then just decided that we didn’t need another RB after all. He must’ve thought at that point that Watson wouldn’t be enough. I don’t think Watson has done badly, far from it, but we absolutely need some form of cover there for when his form turns/he gets injured.
  3. If we are getting anyone on loan it has to be a right back.
  4. Could folk could stop quoting SuperHans? Plays havoc with the ignore function.
  5. Wedderburn’s willingness to collect the ball from the back line and then, more importantly, play a forward pass was pretty refreshing. Good range of passing, a few reverses and cross fields. Thought he did well. Cannae run, though.
  6. Taking a 3 year old to the football - best of luck with that. You’d best download our app...
  7. As has been said, really depends which Zanatta turns up. He’s got a direct style which can be really exciting to watch, and he never hides and always wants the ball which means when he’s bad he can be really obviously, stand out bad. You’ll be up against up for the majority of the season and he’ll be a good out ball but be prepared to be pretty frustrated some of the time. Edit: I’d like to add that I liked Zanatta and would’ve probably had him back this year.
  8. Are we using a different camera to film games this season? The footage seemed juddery and poorer quality than I’m used to. Watched it on my TV via chromecast so that might have had something to do with it.
  9. I cannae be the only person who thinks getting the half time penalty comp back is a great idea? Or the run from the half way line and finish? Could be for everyone or just for kids. I took part in that when I was a wee scrote and it was some buzz getting to go on the pitch in front of the crowd, I’d go as far as saying it was a huge part in hooking me on the Rovers. The current half time set up, albeit run by folk who care and are doing it for free, is pretty awful and has been much the same for years, now. The ad lib interview with whichever former player makes my toes curl. I’m not criticising and I’m sure others do enjoy it, I just feel as thought getting folk involved again at HT is the way to go.
  10. It’s to do with the amount of water the system uses. We currently have a problem with getting a sufficient amount to the system, Sim or the other boy alluded to it in one of the half hour interviews.
  11. Our luck with injuries is really quite incredible. Football is rubbish.
  12. Scored a ripper against you at Starks Park in a 3-2 win. Was pish the first season, admittedly along side Dross Perry, and was then quite good second season.
  13. Which part, other than the first sentence, is something people won’t agree with?
  14. The shark has been well and truly jumped here. Fucking hell. What an off season.
  15. I’m maybe just a bit more of a fair weather fan than most on here. The drawbacks of working most Saturday’s I suppose.
  16. I just find it a miserable day out. I went to Ayr both times last year, total pish.
  17. Aye, “nodded home” right enough. About uprooted the goals. What the f**k do these reporters do when they’re at a game? As for having a terrible record v Inverness - that’s a stadium I’ll never return to unless it’s for a league win or something of that ilk. Along with Somerset and to be honest the Indodrill. We just get mercilessly pumped every time I go.
  18. I am personally distraught at the thought of going out that cup.
  19. First of me seeing the goals from Saturday. Goodness me.
