  1. So without Robertson and Matthews and Vaughan going further up the park, who plays centre mid? No reason to think Hendry is going to be flung straight in, but there literally isn’t anyone else.
  2. I highly doubt 21 year old youth product Ross Matthews is one of our top earners. I don’t claim to know the first thing about our wage stricture but I’m fairly confident he won’t be in the top 6.
  3. I doubt we’ll ever hear the proper story, but the rumour is that Cuthbert - on behalf of all the players - basically got Hughes telt and told him all the players hated him and, as the previous poster said, that he was equally as much to blame for the relegation. The players also voted Bobby Barr as their player of the year, a clear f**k you to Hughes who had refused to play him for much of his reign.
  4. I am really confused. I thought steakngravy was zicoromaines? I assumed the poster on here called zicoromaines was a piss take pretending to be steakngravy, who is zicoromaines? Has he just binned the steakngravy routine and accepted his fate? Edit: I am also a big fan of this Simpsons related turn of events. Please continue.
  5. A youth player moving to the English Championship via the one of the Old Firm and we’ll likely receive a sum equating to a packet of Quavers and a Terry’s chocolate orange. I know it’s been spoken about before at length, but this transfer has got to be one of the fucking worst bits of business any club has ever done.
  6. There’s been little made of us signing Regan Hendry and not even giving him a single second on the pitch in the 4 matches we’ve played since he signed. Fucking madness to sign someone then not play them at all, monumental waste of money that could’ve surely been spent elsewhere if Smith doesn’t think he’s good enough? Downright bizarre, especially for a January signing.
  7. Craigen is liking everyone’s tweets about him coming back which obviously means the announcement is imminent.
  8. Was good for half a season but he’s made of chocolate. Good passer of the ball when given time but doesn’t offer enough physicality to play as a 2 in midfield.
  9. It was proper blizzard at about 830am at Haymarket but it's off now and is melting quickly. I can't remember the last time Edinburgh had really bad snow in the city centre.
  10. That quote from Gray is a classic. “It’ll be the greatest day of my life when I walk into Stark’s Park and we give them a doing”.
  11. If the Rovers fans who abused the system every week stopped it then there would be no need for the booth.
  12. Was this not part of the deal that took Callachan to Hearts? If so how the f**k can they recall him? That is a real kick in the stones, he was really coming on to a game. We need a wide player in now, Bobby Barr is still out so that leaves us with the square total of zero wingers.
  13. Hahahahahaha. A fucking disgrace of a footballer. Pea hearted charlatan with not a combative bone in his body. Genuinely top 3 worst midfielders I’ve ever seen.
  14. Hendry apparently ran the show for the Celtic side who beat our under 20s at Lennoxtown a few months ago. Smith then watched him a further two times. Imagine he’ll feature at some point this weekend.
  15. I think we’ll see Jonny Court or Yaw going out on loan if we’re trying to bring in another striker. Personally I think we need at least 1 wide player. We currently have Bobby Barr who’s been injured for months - and that’s it. Talk of getting Aiden Connolly is madness, surely. James Craigen maybe not so far off the mark.
  16. That would be a real hammer blow to our title chances. It’s quite obvious that Vaughan signed a new deal in order to secure a good fee for the club when he leaves in the summer. He’s not an out and out goal scorer, though. More of a creator and is pretty much the only creative spark we have in the side currently. Dundee would be a good move for him. I can’t say I’d grudge him it if the club accepts the offer.
  17. What a bizarre way of looking at it. Smith’s organisational ability is his strong point, he’s not “making it all about him”. There are a lot of aspects of Smith’s game that you could pick holes in, but making a case against him for trying to organise the side before taking a free kick, without even knowing what he was saying, instead of just humping it forwards, is just downright odd.
  18. He’s not very good tbh. His performance down at Ayr in the 3-0 drubbing was an embarrassment and it seemed like he could do no wrong in the eyes of the manager for a while, playing 90 minutes every week despite being generally pish. Currently injured and wouldn’t be sad to see him kept out the team.
  19. We seem to get absolutely mauled with injuries every year but this year is taking the piss.
