  1. Would love to know the thought process of those at K107 prior to handing this well known idiot another platform. Great thinking, only good can come from this, I’m sure.
  2. Whilst we’re at it, folk are being really harsh on Millen, as well. I don’t see he does much wrong. He’s not Tumilty, but he was never going to be.
  3. Really surprised at the thoughts of folk on Easton. I’ve not really read the forum much recently, is that the general consensus? I struggle to see how anyone watches us play at thinks that Easton isn’t comfortably one of our best technical players. He’s calm in possession, had a great eye for a pass and doesn’t panic when he gets the ball in tight areas. He’s been an excellent signing, for me. No sure what folk are really looking for if they think he’s not been a good addition?
  4. Aye, ok. I can see the headlines now: ‘Supporters of football team celebrate win’. Get a life.
  5. Honestly man, I know you’re bamming folk up and that but it’s tiresome. Please give it a rest.
  6. I think it’s quite refreshing to see us mix it up sometimes. Our downfall last year, especially away from home, was hoping that our ability to pass teams to death would be enough to get the job done, and as we saw time and again, it patently wasn’t. I’d like us to be a bit nastier, truth be told, but if we are going to go more direct when it suits, it’ll ultimately win us more points.
  7. Anyone know what Jamie MacDonald was so annoyed about today? Repeatedly angrily shouting about something towards the bench.
  8. My highlight of today was when Quitongo tried to knock it past Nolan but took a heavy touch and overran it straight out the park and the South Stand rose in unison to give him dugs abuse. Just one of those beautiful, perfectly unique moments to football. Sounded like a goal had been scored when it trundled out the park and his wee dejected face had to front up to 1400 Rovers fans - women, children and men alike - giving him it tight. Brilliant.
  9. My first league game today, not been since we played Stirling. First half was terrible but I actually really enjoyed the second, good entertainment and it was great to see the team hold out and get the win. Nice stuff at the end as well; the fans really appreciated the effort of the team to hang on against some aerial bombardment at the end (and throughout). You could go and watch every single Championship league game from now until the end of the season and you will not find a luckier player to remain on the pitch til the end than Quitongo today. Must’ve committed 5 or 6 fouls before his booking, which you could argue could’ve been a red. On another topic, what has happened to Alan Lithgow? He’s had some summer. The two centre halves looked really assured, no worries about them whatsoever. Both completely fine for this level. Superb to get the win and three points on the board. We needed it.
  10. I’d heard that Robinson was confident of getting him months ago, came to watch him several times. Assumed he would’ve signed by now if he was going to, though. Might’ve been given a better offer elsewhere.
  11. I can’t think of many, if any, occasions where Berra got caught out of position and then got rinsed for pace last season. He’s too often in the right place and is deceptively quick, too.
  12. Steady. Whilst I completely disagree with the summation that Zanatta wasn’t good for us last year - if his season had happened in reverse you’d have people falling over themselves about how important he is to us - to suggest we’d have been relegated without him is nonsense.
  13. Rarely seen a defender as unable to deal with a winger as Murray with Linn that season. One game at Starks where Linn scored in a 1-1 draw stands out as particularly bad. Linn just got the ball and rinsed him time and again, including one instance where he backed off him for about 40 yards. Embarrassing to watch.
  14. I’d be quite concerned about my place in the squad if I were Ross Matthews. We’ve now got him, Stanton, Easton, Spencer and Brown for two centre mid positions. I don’t see the signing of Brown as entirely necessary, all things considered. I’ll admit I have seen very little of him so no idea how he will be used, but given Murray has made him one of his first signings you’d like think he will be higher up the pecking order than Matthews. As an experienced player for us now, I’m sure how he will feel about being potentially left out the side.
  15. “OK with Connolly going”. What the actual f**k do folk watch every week?! Scored or assisted 13 goals last season from wide, after being inexplicably left out the side for a large portion of the season, and won POTY. One of the worst shouts I’ve seen on here for a long time, and that’s really saying something.
  16. I really liked him for Queens season before last. I think he has played a bit further forward for Ayr on the left hand side. Would like a look at him, at least.
  17. Quite incredible to say that Tait leaving had “zero impact” when him and Spencer played something like 80% of our passes into the final third in the first half of the season, according to Wyscout. A very fruitful half season, too. I think losing that would have a very big impact, indeed. Certainly high than zero.
  18. Ethan Ross will be starting for us. A match winner when in form.
  19. Lads, literally 0% chance Tumilty will stay. The fact Murray doesn’t even mention him in his first interview when directly asked about him speaks volumes.
  20. Did he not sell kingdom homes for £40m or something?
  21. Rovers fans will find anything to have a moan about, for the entire time I’ve attended - 20 odd years. It’s a light hearted signing announcement. What do folk want, fireworks and piano in the middle of the pitch?
