Both teams will be happy with 0-0.
I would be delighted. I expect we'll get beat home and away.
I just hope we don't really embarrass ourselves.

I can see a 5-1 being on.

Do we really need a second half?

Somebody took exception too it and took it down and flung it to the pitch-side, behind the goal.
Some Hearts fan has supposedly got it now.

This moment calls for relishing the utmost enjoyment from the misfortunes of your typical glory-seeking Celtic fans, rather than offering rational commentary.

Willie Jamieson was a part-timer with Dundee and working as a barman in Derby's Pub in Gorgie (now The Laich) which was run by Jackie Macnamara (Snr) & Ralphie Callachan when I played against the pub for another pub on Saughton 's plastic pitch. I'd always thought Willie was gash but he dominated the game scoring a hat trick (the other two ex pros were quite good too). I had more respect for him after that.
Even more respect when he scored that 30 yarder in the last minute against Celtic for Hearts in a 1-1 draw. It certainly seemed to upset Gerry McNee the TV commentator! Willie missed the vital penalty in that weird League Cup 4-4 game at Dens when Henry Smith took (and missed) a penalty referenced in a post above.

Time for a European hangover from Hearts? Probably.

Why is there a big banner in the front section of the away end? Surely can't be for segregation.
It is for segregation. There has been coins thrown between lower section N and that bottom corner a few times in the past.

I see the Ticket Exchange has been opened.
Should be a decent home crowd. Hopefully Kilmarnock are able to sell all their tickets.

A European edition.
Nice.
Yes, you never qualified for the league edition at the weekend.

Back on topic, I would like to take the opportunity on behalf of Hibernian, the inventors of European football, to comiserate the Jambos on their unlucky result this evening. Not every team is cut out for European glory.
That's what I like to see, a smug Hibby at half time. What could possibly go wrong?

From irony to idiocy.

I'm fairly confident that any gathering of mature Scottish male football supporters who go by the name 'Soccer Trendies' are embracing irony. I'm more surprised by the genuine reception it's receiving.

For some reason people still think Scales is a decent player, I just remember him being the worst player on the park when Darvel pumped them.
His performance that evening was so bad, I couldn't believe he was playing for a Premiership team.

I've no idea if we're any good as we haven't been tested against a decent Premiership team yet.
Kilmarnock looked good against The Rangers so this should be a good test.

Heard you can end up demoted for that.
...but then you go down win the championship at a stroll, come back up and smack their arses for their cheek winning three out of three in the league, and knocking them out the Scottish Cup. But it's all swings and roundabouts.

Guess what? We suffered a defeat at home. I had hoped my prediction would be wrong, but regrettably, the expected outcome became reality.
Typically, the crowd's response is shaped by the events on the field. On that note, I was just as enthusiastic and supportive as anyone, maintaining a positive attitude. It's important to note that my viewpoints, even if critical, don't affect how I rally behind the team on the day of the match.
