  1. You'll have to pay a couple of quid for most of them but as a one off fee to avoid adverts and be able to change the appearance it pays off massively. I used Tweetings, have also used Jannetter, I believe Tweetbot and Fenix are also decent. Genuinely don't understand why folk that use twitter every day don't have a specified app, the default one is mince and as you say you get bombarded by adverts.
  2. Was going to say it's a bit unfair all the dwarves sound Scottish then I made my first trip to Skellige and they're all Norn Iron... Slight hole in the story that getting to Skellige the first time is a bit of a hassle but after that you can fast travel back and forth no bother
  3. f**k me, this game is great, up to level 12 now. Started playing the bloody baron quest last night thinking it would take an hour or so to do Only minor issues are swimming and horse racing controls are a bit finicky. I can even see myself getting into Gwent once I've done everything else. Re: combat, I'm only playing on the default difficulty, think I've only died once in combat so far (died once by falling and once by Dennis Wilson-ing myself while swimming and getting stuck under a rock) and that was more due to my own stupidity. If I'm not having to defend a NPC then agree that shifting over to the edge of the battle and picking folk off one by one seems to work, if it's a boss then try to stun it with a sign, couple of hits, roll away, rinse and repeat. Don't know how far I'm in, but I don't want this to end for a good while so going to hoover up more ? markers, think I have 96 outstanding between Velen and Novigrad. Haven't been to Skellige yet. edit: actually, not really found much use for the horses as yet, easier either just to get there on foot or fast travel about 95% of the time, only really need it if you've killed something big and it auto appears so you can carry the "trophy" back for your reward. Also enjoying the anachronisms / easter eggs, the Madonna and Henry Ford quotes are definites, probably a few others as well.
  4. About 20% of the home crowd at that Morton game were probably neutrals, I know about 10 folk that went who don't support either team, and I don't have many friends.
  5. Cheers, from previous limited experience of Skyrim and Fallout I know you don't get as much as it's worth in your inventory, but what you've said makes sense. I had a necklace that I'd picked up as loot somewhere in White Orchard valued around 450, was being offered 120ish there, but got double that in Novigrad.
  6. Quick non spoilery question before I get settled in for the night- do you get better prices for items to trade: a) as you level up b) with a perk c) just depends where you're trading, if so guessing the big cities give the best prices?
  7. Surprised Murray is giving a f**k about this now, but I thought the likes of Djokovic and Federer binned it after winning it.
  8. Got this a couple of days ago, really loving it. Seems to me like a good combination of Red Dead and Skyrim. After probably going through the story too quick in Fallout 4, decided to clear every ? on the map in the first area and hunt down every side quest before advancing the story, still only level 4 with ten bob in my pocket at the end of it. Main downside is the main character's voice which annoys me, and when he says "hey ya" to the horse all the time I can't get Outkast out of my head. Absolutely gorgeous graphics though and the story already seems a lot more captivating than Fallout 4.
  9. I'm hoping Booth is saving his 25 yarder into the top corner for a special occasion. Due to the lack of fixtures, we haven't actually won a game on a Saturday since before Christmas, today would be a fine time to put that right.
  10. Few things, manly Partick related: Jacksons at Cowcaddens is at least part owned by Walter Smith, and must have something in common with the Rosevale in Partick as the posters in the window advertising whatever is on at the time of year e.g. the egg chasing at the moment are identical. The Rosevale has started to advertise as a “real ale / live music” type pub too, and as Jagfox said is less far along the bluenose scale than both Stumps and the Windsor. If you do end up in the Windsor, beware the females who inhabit it aren’t always very friendly. The food in Jacksons is pretty decent too but food on a subcrawl tends to be from the chippy / Chinese at Partick station and you'd probably be too late to get food by that point as well. The Partick Tavern is now Partick Brewing Co and has done away with the pool tables. The Quarter Gill is a magnet for every fucking yahoo from the schemes on a Friday and Saturday night, it’s the one pub in Partick I’d avoid. Again, nice wee boozer with decent food if you go in early enough, also would be too busy for subcrawls. The Ettrick had a brief rebrand as a Breaking Bad theme pub, Heisenberg’s but the irony of the drug references and the fact it’s full of tinpot gangsters didn’t make it any more successful and it’s now the Tenement. edit for formatting
  11. Multiple kidnap, torture, Charlie imbibing harmful substances and inhabiting his own wee world, Dennis being an absolute rapey pyschopath, Dee being the punchbag, Frank outwitting them all, ticks all the boxes.
  12. The St Patrick's day episode goes to the top of the chart for this season imo. "Why would you use paint instead of food colouring to make the beer green?" "Beer's not a food, when was the last time you ate a beer?" "When was the last time you drank paint... Charlie, have you been drinking paint?"
  13. There are 30 settlements in total so aye.
  14. Decided to catch up on season 3, it's been better than I thought it would be, there's still plenty of material in it. Some reasonable guest stars as well, although getting Jason Mantzouakis (sp) in basically to play his Rafi character off the League was a bit of an odd one, thought he was going to pull out a pocket dog at some point. Holt is now my favourite, the episode with his ex -boyfriend and the wooden duck has some cracking lines and him and Diaz work really well.
  15. A reassuringly poor 4 after yesterday's fireworks, knew none of the first 5 and got none of them but knew 6,8,9 and a reasonably confident guess on 10.
  16. So the run up to the split barring further postponements is now Motherwell A St J A Hearts A Aberdeen H Celtic H Hamilton A Killie H United H County A Plus we're due 3 homes after the split. Obviously the top 3 in a row isn't great but should be 7 of the last 11 at home. I couldn't make Hearts away on the original date but now I can, guess they've got to allow some time for folk who now can't to return tickets. Is the Aberdeen game still on TV or is that a champions league night?
  17. We have 31 points after 24 games. Last season it took us 29 games to reach that. Season before it took us 34. Progress.
  18. Was going to say this on the match thread but his kicking looked a bit suspect tonight, dunno if he had a knock. His save in the first half from Swanson was tremendous- from the North stand it looked in all the way. Genuinely wouldn't swap him for another keeper in this league.
