  1. Been looking at picking this up - is it decent just as a single-player or does it have to be online?
Also, how would a 5 year old get on with it?
    Cheers

Offline gets dull quick. I played a full season and it was boring after a few games.

The new training levels are a welcome addition though.

I've now got the classic line from Rangers fans - "This is clearly someone who doesn't like it when something positive is said about Rangers. Standard from wee teams."

They really don't like any kind of negative or disparaging comment about their club or players.

I had to make my Twitter private after I posted a jokey comment about Rangers not being relegated to Div 3 and being a new team (kicked out and then brought back - amazed Coral haven't approached me to be on their side) and ended up with about 20 Gers fans Tweeting me links to Fifa websites and newspaper reports saying that it was the same side etc.  It's good fun to see how many bites you can get!

Right who got to Wiki first? Barrie McKay (born 30 December 1994) is a Scottish professional football player who has recently been sold to Red Bull Leipzig for €75 million with a 10% sell on fee and the Scotland national team. McKay can play either as a striker or as a winger.

 Dee Man and I on the same wave length!

I've made the mistake of mentioning this on Twitter. Now getting Rangers fans saying that Hayes has never performed v Celtic, McKay has destroyed them twice which shows he is better and Hayes is massively over rated.

Reading people replying to Ewan Murrays feed - basically as McKay did well against Lustig in one game then he should be worth a lot. Also he destroyed Callum Paterson in a match as well! £££££

I can't see the link. WTF is up with this site recently?

I don't know who Ewan Murray is but I'm happy to take Ruggy's word for it. Ewan, you're a c**t.

It was showing up fine in mine.  Was just a tweet about the £6m figure about 15 minutes after I posted it in here.  In fairness he probably just read it in the paper!

He's a journalist for the Guardian and Observer.

I enjoyed it. The videos were the highlight, with creepy murr being excellent. The stories they told were good although like others have said, they did feel a bit too scripted.

  6. Tempted to give this a watch after seeing a trailer for this yesterday. Anybody seen any episodes?

"Giovanni Ribisi plays the role of Marius, a con man who tries to leave his old life behind by assuming the identity of his cell mate, Pete. While Pete's family doesn't have reason to suspect that he is not their long-lost loved one, they are a colorful group with their own secrets and lies that could make life as dangerous as the world Marius was hoping to escape. Marius must find a way to keep his lies from backfiring as he deals with unexpected situations that come his way"

    Hacksaw Ridge 9/10

Simply outstanding. Up there with some of the greatest war movies ever made. Andrew Garfield plays Desmond Doss, a WWII army medic who refuses to kill people based on his beliefs. He goes through a bit of an ordeal during his army training but the same people who treated him like shite, soon come to realise that hes more of a hero than all of them. Truly memorable and should pick up Oscars despite the academys hatred of director Mel Gibson

Seeing this on Monday - cannot wait.  Looks fantastic and glad to see it's got a positive review on PnB!  A sure fire sign that it's a good film...

  8. The one I don't get is is number 6.  Gaz and Leccy - who would complain about those adverts?  Bit annoying yes but nothing worth complaining about!

Agreed about number 3. 896 people I never want to meet.

    1. MoneySuperMarket.com (dancing bodyguard) 1,063

    2. MoneySuperMarket.com (gang dance-off) 898

    3. Match.com (kissing women) 896

    4. MoneySuperMarket.com (solo dance-off) 530

    8. Home Office (domestic violence) 216

    9. Gourmet Burger Kitchen (vegetarianism) 195

    10. Mars/Maltesers (disability) 151

Made decent progress and got up to Challenger Elite div 3, but am kinda stuck there. Worried about going on a losing streak as am getting close to that blue star, but it seems just out of reach. I've found the games much better just up a few levels though, everyone just seems that little bit more competent. Can hardly talk cos I still often make stupid mistakes and completely miss the ball at times, but it happens a lot less frequently. Goals in these games tend to come from good play rather than stupid mistakes. Had a game that went about 8 mins into overtime, the amount of epic saves on both sides just took the piss, but alas, we eventually lost it. Gutter.

I had a match like this yesterday that made it to 7:54 overtime.  Like yourself we lost!  About 30 seconds before they scored I made an epic save and we had a breakaway which a team mate contrived to screw up.

Also had one of those amazing moments that you have no idea how it happened last week.  A goal down in the final 5 seconds and the opponents clear the ball.  I've given up so start doing flips in their goal mouth.  All of a sudden the ball is launched up field as the clock hits zero and I somehow managed to move myself just to the side of the goal for the ball to bounce off me and just over the line.  We won in overtime as well!

  11. Sully - 7/10.  Saw this on Monday at the cinema and was impressed.  Didn't know anything about the investigation afterwards so found it quite interesting.  Hanks was good as was Harvey Dent as the co-pilot.

Half the film was spent trying to remember where I knew people from (TV show wise).  Laura Linney and Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) were in Frasier towards the end, Anna Gunn obviously was in Breaking Bad, Pheobe's cop boyfriend appears and one of the many crazy wifies from Desperate Housewives was one of the passengers.

The one whose name I couldn't remember was Holt McCallany who plays Mike.  Couldn't remember where I'd seen him before - CSI Miami

Who in their right mind would specifically want to join Cowdenbeath at this current time?  Donald Findlay splashing the cash... again!  €ow£enbeath!  I hope we can line up a better signing soon.

Probably to get decent game time as we badly need a centre half.  Short term move for him which could lead to a better deal after/

Think this will be paid for by the wages saved in Craig Sives leaving us so Donald won't be putting much in!

The advert with the bloke who's been lying to his wife for years about their mutual love of curries. Seen it several times and couldn't tell you what it's for, so it's clearly doing its job well.

You just know he's going to end up forcing ghost chillies up her nose while crying hysterically over his permanently-damaged taste buds.

Tesco apparently.  The store next to me has his picture up as you go up the travellator into the store.  There's others as well that will probably be popping up on our screens soon - http://www.tesco.com/food-love-stories/

I caught a wee bit of Sportsound for the first time in months on Friday night (I think) and Jim Goodwin was on. Every time he answered a question he kept saying "Listen" or "Here, listen".

He was? Ah well fair enough. I guess that was in the Record or something like that? I did think that Ferguson would play to the same tune but quite surprised that he isn't.

    Indeed - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/walter-smith-wrong-rangers-dave-9612698

Real shame as I was certain he'd be all for it!
