Danny Dyer on Who Do You Think You Are? Delight. Probably my favourite ever episode, to be honest. He found out he was a direct descendant of Thomas Cromwell and King Edward III. It was a quite incredible hour of TV, all told.

Caught the end of this before The Apprentice came on.  Was glad I did as it was an incredible moment when he found out he was a descendant of a King!

  2. Ordered a Christmas present on Amazon to one of the pickup lockers.  Was meant to arrive on Monday but no word.  Sent an email a couple of hours ago asking what was going on.

Amazon replied saying they'll look into it and as way of an apology they've extended my prime membership an extra month which will take me pretty much to Christmas next year - no paying for delivery at the worst time of the year!

They also state to wait a day or two for the parcel as it has been held up in transit.

1 hour later I get a text to say it's ready for collection

  3. Had an utter stinker of a game yesterday. 2-1 down with 20 seconds to go and I've only got something like 50 points the whole match.

Team mate equalises from me missing a tap in and then with 8 seconds to go I score an absolute pile driver perfectly in between the 2 opponents.  Literally jumped out my seat when it when in.

Literally the one 2 things of note I did that whole match!

Prime is on offer for £59 for the year until tonight. Think me and my brother are going to go halfers on it so we can watch this. Are there enough other decent films and TV shows to make it worthwhile?

Depends what you like I guess.  The man in the high castle I watched and loved.

I don't understand why anyone would expect Lennon to say anything different considering the man who is chairman of his club came out the day before and said he is backing Strachan. Would be strange if he came out and said "no I don't agree with the chairman, Strachan has to go". It's also rare for managers to say other managers should be sacked.

Would the Chairman really give a toss?  He's allowed to have his own opinion on things that don't really affect his club.

Good episode, I do like the longer running stores like this one, The Lord of the Rings episodes, GOT episodes, the Coon episodes and Imaginationland are great too.

Special mentions to the Manbearpig, Warcraft, Fishsticks, Two days before the day after tomorrow episodes and so many more. The Mormon and Scientology episodes are crackers too...'dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb!'

There are also blatant filler episodes but I can forgive them for that due to the 6 days the get to complete each episode!

Ive even seen 'The Book Of Mormon' in London - was for my Stag Do. Fucking hilarious and would recommend it highly to all south park fans.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are geniuses.

Seconded.  Saw it with my brother and Dad a few years ago and I still laugh just thinking about it.

In terms of best South Park episodes?  The ones you mention above are all ace but I love the 24 style episode.

Vladimir: America had other enemies before the Muslims, you know. Who is America's oldest enemy?
    Cartman: The Russians?
    Vladimir: Before that.

If it's true that Layne has been recalled (nothing on either website) then good luck to the lad for the future.

In my honest opinion, which I have posted on here before, he's not good enough to break into the Alloa First Team any time soon, but at least he tried his best during his time at Stirling, and that's all we can ask from any player.

Sure I saw it on the Alloa Twitter feed last night.

Peggy. I don't mind Methadone Mick and quite enjoyed his 'talking letterbox' line but Peggy...just a rip-roaring c**t. It doesn't help that she looks like some irritating lassie from Forfar that I knew once (not in that way).

Peggy is fine in small doses - I liked her and Isa insulting each other and winding each other up.  Mick on the other hand?  A fecking God awful character that adds nothing to the show.  Should have been in only one episode.

Nocturnal Animals - 8/10. Very good watch. Will also echo what KPM said about Shannon being great. Similar character to Jeff Bridges' in Hell Or High Water, but maybe not quite as good.

Doctor Strange - 4/10. Not a massive Marvel/superhero fan but thought the first hour was great before it became a bit of a mess in the second.

The Accountant - 3/10. Couldn't get into this at all. Ben Affleck was pretty dreadful as the lead.

The Light Between Oceans - 7/10. Really enjoyed this. Hadn't read the books so I enjoyed the storyline. Ending is pretty predictable, but still managed to make me shed a tear.

I saw this last night and think you're being a bit harsh.  Would give it a 6/10.  Wasn't what I was expecting but did think it was enjoyable.  Affleck did a good job I felt.  The twist of who the bad guy was though was too obvious for me!

Still don't get why the firm actually hired him to do the work or why he loved the Autistic school so much.  He never even went there except for one day!

City Fanzine for Edinburgh City v Cowdenbeath at Meadowbank. The Centrefold.

      Hide contents

Girls not included! Can't see the number on the shorts of the Blue Brazil player in action between City stalwarts John Dunn and Christopher McKee. Name Anyone?

Nikolay Todorov I think! Also the defeat to Elgin recently was away and not at home.

  11. A friend of mine has updated her cover photo.  She used to have a dog that she would post utter shite photos of daily that sadly passed away last year.  As one does when a dog passes away she's went and replaced her but with 2 dogs.

Her cover photo is now her 2 new dogs sitting on a couch with a framed picture of the deid dug in between them

  12. Ballymena 2 - 2 Cowdenbeath.  Pre season friendly.  One of 5 Cowden fans at the game (3 from the Dublin supporters club and my Dad  ) saw us fall 2-0 down before a spirited come back.  Think it was the first match Greg Stewart played for us.

Highlight being meeting the Mayor after the game who thanked us for coming over and then getting caught in biblical levels of rain as we ran through town to the train station.

*insert random match vs Berwick here as banter*

Against Shug? But aye you're right, seeing both of them back would be great. Wasn't Shug posing with the rest of the crew during the build up to the new series?

That new episode sounds really good, should get a few laughs with Navid in the Clansman and Boaby in the shop.

God knows where I got against Shug from.  Meant to put as well as

Speaking of Fergie, I'd be surprised if he doesn't make an appearance at some point. He had a wee cameo in the stage shows so he's obviously still in contact. If they aren't moving on in time he's more than likely got his tangoed wife up the duff by now.

Next week's episode features Fergie and his wife.  Actually the synopsis for next weeks episode sounds utterly fantastic -

" Affairs of the heart stir up emotions as Jack and Victor offer unconventional marriage guidance to Fergie and his wife Sinead, their advice proves to be less that helpful. Meanwhile, Navid and Boabby job-swap to prove who has the cushiest career after Boabby struggles to see bargains in Navid'a shop when him and Meena have a special rollback day to celebrate 40 years of their Craiglang Career. "

Without being pedantic, he got her up the duff during Kill Wullie (series 4). Even with the best part of 3 series being aired after that, there was no mention of Fergie's wean.

Seems like we need to accept that not every previously shown character will get a mention. I doubt we'll see the likes of Bert, Mrs Beg, Ronnie the looney or Wullie McIntosh etc. If there's any of the non-recurring characters I'd love (and partly expect) to see again would be Edith.

Has Joe been in it so far?  Would love to see him back against Shug.
