  1. Mon’ the FC Copenhagen. Intae’ thum’.
  2. Been saying it for ages. Lose a pre-season game, extend the regular season to 17, make the extra game international - London, Mexico, Berlin, Tokyo, wherever, and knock the idea of a London franchise into the gutter where it belongs.
  3. WTF was the Killie defender thinking about with the challenge that resulted in the penalty? You can even see the Killie captain thinking exactly the same thing. Mental.
  4. I think he lives in the same fantasy world as me. You know, the one where you invent a ‘boring’ matchup to illustrate a point. Away back to Ferranti.
  5. It would have affected Motherwell v St Mirren though. If it was on TV, with the weather forecast, with Champions League also on, and with it being a £12 ticket plus travel after work for a lot of folk? (£12 was reasonable, but still). Not having a dig at you, but it does seem to be a reaction because both replays so happened to be somewhat insane. Had this been a ‘blacked out’ replay between Ross County and, let’s say, Hamilton that ended 1-0, would anyone be calling out UEFA and the SPFL about the unfairness of it all? There’s shitloads of fitba’ on the TV. Too bloody much. Is a ‘blackout’ here and there that much of a problem that we are screaming about more Scottish fitba’ not being shown live, resulting in the strong possibility of far more empty seats at the replays themselves? Edit. Posted this after reading the OP, and none of the subsequent replies, some of which make a similar point.
  6. I’ve been going to games since 1977. I’ve had enough though. That’s me finished with supporting Motherwell and Kilmarnock.
  7. St Mirren v Aberdeen might be a 9-9 draw with multiple lead changes, three own goals, woodwork hit five times, two sendings off, a managerial bust up on the touchline, three disallowed goals, a twenty minute delay for a floodlight failure, and Jesus Christ re-appears on earth at half time.... or a 0-0 shitfest. The magic of this season’s cup.
  8. St Mirren board of directors listening to the commentary from Rugby Park...
  9. Sell out at the Dinkydome. Aberdeen & Killie fans charter an Airbus A380 and fly to Paisley International. Should be a good un’.
  10. Sell out at the Dinkydome. Multiple Aberdeen buses coming down. Should be a good un’.
  11. Sell out at the Dinkydome beckons. Multiple Killie buses nip up the ‘77. Should be a good un’.
  12. Won’t wash. Not against a St Mirren side who are losing midfielders and defenders to injury too.
  13. Just went into my Blurb website photobook pdf and did a few Calgary screengrabs.
  14. Did the Rocky Mountaineer train a year or so back. Started in Vancouver, ended up in Calgary. Absolutely stunning journey. Made a complete 100 page photobook from the one holiday. Someone posted asking about things to do in Calgary - hope some of this helps. We had been to Vancouver before, as well as Montreal and Toronto. This was our first time in Calgary, and we like it even more than its bigger counterparts. Our hotel was downtown, near the Calgary Tower, worth going up. Stephen Avenue is great for restaurants and bars. There’s a big modern shopping mall on Stephen Avenue which is worth a visit - the top floor has an indoor botanical garden. The Canadian Music Hall of Fame was great, so was the tram system that took us out to the zoo to see the pandas. Walking around Calgary is really easy. A good walk is to go up from downtown, cross over the Peace Bridge, turn right, walk along the riverfront and back into downtown. Good photo opps. Also good photo opps’ at Olympic Plaza. We went out to Stampede Park and had a look around the Saddledome Stadium, home of the Calgary Flames ice hockey team. If I get a chance, will dig out some photos. Hope this is at least semi-useful to whoever was going to Calgary.
  15. Big reward for the victors - get to play on a lovely grass surface, and for the fans, square sausage & tattie scone doublers fae’ the Buddie Good Food van. Best of luck to both teams.
  16. Tony Andreu to be the hero. Free kick. Goalie helpless. Scenes. Bookmark this. It’s happening.
  17. On the subject of towers, exhibitions, and Glasgow - has anyone ever been up that Science Centre tower, and does the thing actually work these days? I know Google is my friend and all that, but I’m a lazy sod. Just wondered if any P&Bers have actually been up the damn thing, and did they need the services of the Fire & Rescue folks to get them back down, ten hours later. Has there ever been such a fcuking useless piece of shit appear in Glasgow, aside from the Old Firm clubs?
  18. Not an entire building, but a feature within one - just happened recently, they got rid of the water feature / sculpture that was at the beginning of the Livingston Outlet shops. Been replaced with a new staircase up to the food court. I’ve mentioned a few times that the Livvy shops are my favourite centre, always get what I’m looking for there. I used to love sitting up at the food court, watching and listening to that water feature. The noise, and indeed the smell, gave the area an instantly recognisable and unique flavour. Sad to see it go. I guess it was due to maintenance costs? Now it could be any shopping mall, anywhere.
  19. Listening to the commentary on the radio last night, I genuinely thought the second half was a St Mirren bottle-crashing, shitting the bed, self-inflicted act of keeching our drawers... didn’t realise at least two of the Motherwell goals were so jammy. Bottom line though, if we’d scored them, and had actually won on pens, we wouldn’t give a flying fcuk how ‘jammy’ they were. Fair play to our boys for not suffering a complete arse-collapse and losing 5-4.
  20. Will re-post the two pics of Renfrew Airport. Should absolutely have been saved. Christ, even if they had no better plan, just look at that terminal building exterior. What a McDonalds drive-through it could have been.
  21. He saves when he wants, he saves when he waa-aaa-nn-t-sss.... he’s Vaclav Hladky, he saves when he wants.
